A few pieces, one pickup

Your room has changed. The old furniture can go.

The desk you no longer use. The dresser that doesn’t fit the new layout. The chairs left over after a move. Choose the pieces you’re done with and give them a pickup day, without arranging a quote visit.

Choose each piece

A table and four chairs are five items.

You don’t need to guess how much space your furniture fills in a truck. Match each piece to the catalog, then add its quantity. Your total updates as you go.

Tables and chairs

Choose the table, then add each chair separately. Coffee tables, side tables and dining tables have their own options. A large or substantially heavy table has a different choice.

Dressers and mirrors

Match the dresser’s overall size. Add a separate dresser mirror as its own item if it is leaving too. Empty drawers and keep the belongings you want before moving the dresser outside.

Desks and bookshelves

Choose by construction, not height alone. A basic desk is different from a heavy desk with a substantial body. A tall, lightweight bookcase can still be a standard bookshelf. Empty it first.

Couches and household furniture

Accepted with preparation

A couch is on the city's curbside bulk list, so it goes out with the scheduled collection as a large item that cannot be containerized or bagged.

City cost & eligibility
Furniture is collected as bulk trash inside the residential service the household pays for on the monthly utility statement, and the city publishes no separate furniture rate. The $11.50 per cubic yard charge with an $11.50 minimum appears in the city code only for bulk trash placed out outside the allowed window.
When & how
Set the piece at the curb no earlier than 5:00 p.m. the day before the scheduled collection day and by 6:00 a.m. on the collection day.
Get it ready
Keep the piece out of the garbage container, because bulky items are collected separately from the cart, and secure or cover anything that could blow loose on the trip to the curb.

Right place.

For a curbside bulky item

Large items that cannot be containerized or bagged go out on the neighborhood's scheduled collection day, no earlier than 5:00 p.m. the day before and by 6:00 a.m. on the collection day, because a truck that has already passed may not come back. Cover or secure the items so nothing scatters, keep them clear of the pavement and travel way, and keep construction materials, boats, junk cars, boulders and tree trunks out of the pile.

Use the city curbside bulk collection

A Delray Beach household with a couch, a refrigerator, a wash machine or a mattress to put out at the curb.

Arrange it
Put the items at the curb on the scheduled collection day, no earlier than 5:00 p.m. the day before and by 6:00 a.m. on the collection day, and call the sanitation division at 561-243-7530 with questions about the address or the item.

Construction materials, boats, junk cars, boulders and tree trunks are not collected, and items placed out outside the allowed window can be collected by the city and charged to the water account.

Self-haul the load to a Delray transfer station

A household with a bulky item, an appliance or a load of household trash that cannot wait for the collection day.

Cost & conditions
From $10 for the minimum charge for any load at a Solid Waste Authority facility, with household trash and bulky material billed by the published per ton rate and appliances billed as white goods. Self-haul loads are weighed at the scale and paid by cash or credit card. Transfer stations refuse concrete, block, brick, tile, steel, rebar, roofing material, construction lumber, trusses, pallets, dirt, fill, sod, stumps and tire loads.
Arrange it
Use the Delray Transfer Station at 1901 SW 4th Ave or the West Delray Transfer Station at 13400 S. State Rd. 7, both open 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday and 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM Saturday.

The facilities are closed on Sunday, Thanksgiving and Christmas, and every customer has to weigh out or the fee is based on the full weight of the load and the vehicle.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Delray Beach is a municipal collection city, so the curb handles the everyday and the bulky load while the county handles anything hazardous or heavy. The city collects garbage Monday through Friday between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. and takes large items on the scheduled collection day, naming refrigerators, wash machines, lawn mowers, couches, bedding and wood fences up to six feet while refusing construction materials, boats, junk cars, boulders and tree trunks. Hazardous waste and electronics never go in a cart: they are dropped free at a Solid Waste Authority Home Chemical and Recycling Center, and Delray Beach has two, on SW 4th Avenue and on South State Road 7. Self-haul disposal is weighed at the same sites, with white goods billed as white goods and construction and demolition debris billed at its own rate, and the heavy construction categories that the transfer stations refuse have to go to the North County Landfill in West Palm Beach. The city also adds an Amnesty Day to the normal vegetation pickup day by zone each hurricane season, with vegetation and bulk trash in separate piles and no hazardous items or construction material. Furniture removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Delray Beach.

How much does furniture removal cost in Delray Beach?

Choose the type and size of each piece to see its price. For example, a medium dresser is $79 as the first item or $29 as an additional item. Your total starts with the highest first-item price in your selection, then uses the additional-item price for every other item. Review the complete total and any applicable tax before payment.

Can I get same-day furniture pickup in Delray Beach?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup and choose from the dates shown at checkout. Arrange to have the furniture outside according to your confirmation. You receive a text when your hauler is on the way and photos after collection.

Dropcurb starts outside. You arrange indoor carrying, including any interior stairs or elevator trip. We load and take away the furniture from an accessible outdoor location. Check your building’s rules and plan the route out before booking.

Can you take several different furniture items in one pickup?

Yes. Add each piece and its quantity to one booking. A dining table and four chairs are five items; a separate mirror is not included with a dresser. You can mix eligible items from different rooms and review their combined total before paying.

Do I need to take furniture apart before pickup?

You arrange any disassembly needed to move the furniture out of your home and into an accessible outdoor pickup spot. Dropcurb does not provide indoor disassembly or carrying. If you are unsure which catalog choice matches a dismantled or unusual piece, send a photo and ask before booking.
