The county landfill and transfer station charge their own tipping fees, which are not published, and furniture delivered there is accepted for a fee. $215 for for the annual non-assessed recycling permit for a resident of an incorporated municipality, which matches the county's annual solid waste assessment. Required for a resident who lives inside an incorporated city or town to use the county recycling centres, with the permit priced at the county assessment figure for those residents. Residents outside Marion County pay a higher figure, and businesses that do not pay the assessment are not permitted to use the centres at all.
Arrange it
Buy the annual permit from Marion County Solid Waste, then use a participating centre. Furniture is taken at the Canal, Dunnellon, Davis, Martel, Newton and Scrambletown centres during operating hours, and electronics are taken in the green compactor boxes at centres including Baseline, Dunnellon, Forest Corners, Fort McCoy and Martel.
