Book the unwanted bags and boxes left after packing. Choose an available pickup day before you hand back the keys, and arrange to have them outside.
You do not need a whole house of junk. Select the bags, boxes and larger items you actually have. Your combined price is shown online.
When the next collection does not fit your plans, choose a Dropcurb pickup day. Updates keep you informed, and completion photos show when the booked items are gone.

A few simple choices turn a mixed pile into a clear booking. No need to estimate how much of a truck it might fill.
Count each trash bag or filled household box. Books and media go by the box. Clothes, bedding and shoes go by the filled bag. Toys packed together have a Box of toys choice. Ask us about unusually heavy or oversized bags and boxes first.
Empty cardboard is a different choice: choose single empty boxes or tied bundles of 10 flattened boxes. Compacted bales have their own weight-based choices and require loading-dock access. A Storage bin choice covers the empty bin itself; ask us to confirm the contents if they are going too.
Add the actual larger item alongside your bags and boxes, such as a sofa, chair or mattress. It has its own price and preparation. Keep construction materials and items needing special handling out of ordinary household bags.

Republic Services collects garbage twice a week and recycling once a week in 35, 65 or 95 gallon carts, and since October 1, 2025 it no longer collects extra carts that are not registered with the city.
Republic Services offers unlimited bulk pickup at the curb once a week on the scheduled pickup day, and the city lists large discarded household items including appliances, furniture, mattresses and electronic items.
Furniture is named on the city's bulk waste list, so a couch goes to the curb on the weekly bulk day rather than into a cart.
The handoff matters
Have the cart at the curb by 5 a.m., one foot from the curb or street edge, at least three feet from trees, poles, fire hydrants, mailboxes, electrical and cable boxes and cars, and with sixteen feet of clearance above the cart so the mechanical arm can work. Keep the arrows on the lid facing the street, keep the lid closed, leave three feet between the recycling and waste carts, and do not lean anything against a cart.

The city states that it does not pick up disaster debris from private HOAs or special taxing districts, so those neighborhoods have to arrange their own removal.

The published cart fees are a one time exchange of $54.01 to $58.52 by size, an extra cart of $55.63 to $60.28 by size, and an extra cart monthly fee of $11.35 or quarterly fee of $34.05. Hazardous waste and electronics drop-off is free to Brevard County residents, and construction debris is a roll-off or self-haul job. Republic customer service is 321-989-6030 or 844-737-8254, and stopping or starting service has to go through the city at 321-952-3420 rather than the online account.
