Match your item

Construction cleanup starts with the right items.

We currently accept the doors, toilets and bathroom vanities listed here, already detached and ready outside. Choose each item separately. Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted, including in bags.

Doors

Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.

Toilets

Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.

Bathroom vanities

Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

Construction and demolition debris

Not on the regular city route

Palm Bay does not collect construction and demolition debris at the curb, and any business collecting or disposing of it inside the city must hold a non-exclusive franchise.

City cost & eligibility
The city publishes no residential construction rate. Collection and disposal businesses inside Palm Bay must hold a non-exclusive franchise, granted for five years with a $500 application fee, so confirm the provider and the charge with an approved roll-off company or with Public Works at 321-952-3437.
When & how
Order a roll-off container from one of the city's approved providers, or self haul the load to the Sarno Landfill, which accepts the concrete, brick, drywall and lumber categories that the transfer station refuses.
Get it ready
Keep construction material out of the carts, out of the bulk pile and out of the yard waste pile, because the city requires yard trash to be separated from other household refuse and refuses construction material on public roadways outside the disaster process.

Right item.
Right place.

Before a storm

Do not place any bulk or yard waste at the curb within 72 hours before a tropical storm or hurricane, because the city runs a separate disaster debris process and may contract a different contractor for curbside clean-up afterwards. The city states that it does not pick up disaster debris from private HOAs or special taxing districts, so those neighborhoods have to arrange their own removal.

For your Dropcurb pickup

Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.

City of Palm Bay Public Works and Utilities with Republic Services and Brevard County Solid Waste Management

Order a roll-off container from an approved provider

A Palm Bay household or contractor with construction or demolition debris from a project.

Cost & conditions
The city publishes no construction rate and requires collection and disposal businesses to hold a non-exclusive franchise, so confirm the container size, the material and the charge with an approved provider before ordering.
Arrange it
Choose from the city's approved roll-off container providers, which include Republic Services, Dumpstar, ECO Green Waste and Portable, Express Roll Off, Fletcher's Hauling, Freedom Waste of Brevard, Freese, H & R Roll Off Dumpsters, Waste Management and Waste Pro, and call Public Works at 321-952-3437 with questions.

A business operating without a city non-exclusive franchise is in violation of the city code, and the alternative to a container is a self-hauled load at the Sarno Landfill in Melbourne.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Palm Bay is a franchise city, so Republic Services handles the curb and the city's Utilities and Public Works departments handle the account. Garbage goes out twice a week, recycling once a week, and bulk waste once a week with no volume restrictions, with the city's list naming appliances, furniture, mattresses, computers, printers, flat screen televisions and stereos. Yard waste is also unlimited but has to be containerized rather than bagged and separated from everything else, with limbs cut to four feet under six inches in diameter and to two feet above that. Hazardous waste never goes in a cart: Brevard County runs three free collection centers for county residents, taking paint, automotive fluids, garden chemicals, batteries, fluorescent lamps and electronics, and the county's Sarno Landfill handles the construction categories that its transfer station refuses. Construction debris is otherwise a roll-off job, because the city requires collection and disposal businesses to hold a non-exclusive franchise and publishes the approved provider list. County landfill, transfer station and hazardous waste center

Brevard County Sarno Landfill and Transfer Station

3379 Sarno Road, Melbourne, FL 32935

The landfill takes asphalt, boats without motors, fuel or tanks, brick, cardboard, carpet, concrete, drywall, land clearing debris, lumber, metal scraps, empty paint cans, paper, piping, plastics, rock, steel, whole tires, white goods such as refrigerators and washers, wood pallets and yard waste. The household hazardous waste center takes aerosols, automotive and boat batteries, automotive fluids, cleaners, drain cleaners, electronics, fertilizers, fluorescent lamps, fungicides and pesticides, gasoline, lubricants, mercury devices, oil filters, paints, stains, sealers and solvents.

The landfill prohibits CRTs and rear projection televisions, electronics and brown goods, fluorescent lamps, hazardous waste, batteries, sharps, treated wood, pressurized cylinders, propane tanks, containers over 20 gallons, motor vehicles and garbage. The transfer station refuses construction and demolition debris, white goods, motor vehicles, yard trash and hazardous waste, so a construction load goes to the landfill side rather than the transfer station. Household hazardous waste is household material only, capped at twenty-five gallons of liquid per household per year in containers no larger than five gallons.

The site is open Monday through Saturday 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and the household hazardous waste center is open Monday through Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Household hazardous waste and electronics drop-off is free to Brevard County residents with proof of residency possibly required, while material taken to the landfill or transfer station is weighed and charged at the scale, so confirm the load charge before arriving.

Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Palm Bay.

How much does construction debris removal cost in Palm Bay?

Pricing is per accepted item. A detached door is $99 as a single item, an ordinary toilet is $79, and a small bathroom vanity is $99. Larger vanities have their own choices. Select the listed items to see the exact combined price. These prices do not cover mixed rubble or loose building materials. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; applicable sales tax appears before payment.

Can I get same-day toilet or vanity pickup in Palm Bay?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Arrange disconnection, removal and the move outside first, then have the fixture ready by the time in your confirmation. We text you before arrival and provide pickup photos when it is done.

Will you disconnect a sink or take a door off its hinges?

The fixture must already be detached, disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange plumbing, electrical work, removal from walls or hinges, and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb handles loading and haul-away from your outdoor pickup spot.

Can I add bags of drywall, tile or other demolition waste?

Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted. This page offers pickup for the listed doors, toilets and bathroom vanities that are already removed. Do not book loose building materials as household trash bags or as an extra item. Arrange suitable disposal for those materials with your contractor or a debris specialist.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?

Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.

Who hauls construction debris in Palm Bay?

Not the curbside collection. Construction and demolition debris is excluded from the residential service, and any business collecting or disposing of it inside Palm Bay must operate under a city non-exclusive franchise, granted for five years with an application fee. The city publishes a list of approved roll-off container providers and Public Works can be reached at 321-952-3437.Official guidance
