City cost & eligibility
The City publishes no rate for bedding and does not name a mattress among its bulk examples, which are refrigerators, washers and dryers, toilets and sinks. Confirm the piece, the collection day and any charge with Waste Management on 561-471-6110 before the mattress goes to the curb.
When & how
If the mattress is accepted it goes out with the weekly bulk schedule, no earlier than noon the day before collection and at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on the collection day.
Get it ready
Keep the mattress dry and wrap it so it can be lifted without debris falling out, and set it out with the rest of the bulk load rather than on its own. Ask when you call whether a box spring, an adjustable base or a bed frame counts as the same item or as separate pieces.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.

You can choose an offered pickup day around your replacement delivery. First check whether the retailer already includes old-mattress removal, and arrange who will bring it outside if needed. Which holidays change collection?+
Waste Management does not collect on Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day and serves every other holiday as normal, and a collection that falls on one of those two days moves to the next scheduled service day.
