When & how

Remove the doors from a refrigerator or freezer before it goes out, as the city requires, keep the unit within five feet of the driveway, and keep appliances out of the recycling bin.
Two service days a week, and the second takes the bulk
Residents have two service collection dates each week. The first takes normal household waste, and the second takes normal waste plus bulk items of less than three cubic yards. Receptacles are bought by the resident, between 10 and 35 gallons and no heavier than 60 pounds, up to four may go out, bagged waste must be inside a can, and everything sits in the collection area within five feet of the driveway.
Yard waste, recycling and white goods each have their own terms
Yard waste is collected on Wednesdays with items under six inches in diameter and no longer than five feet, and the pile cannot exceed two cubic yards, with anything over that tagged so the resident pays the hauler directly. Recycling is single-stream and weekly, with everything rinsed and only recyclable material in the bin. White goods such as refrigerators and hot water heaters go curbside separately with the doors removed, and residents call customer service and allow one to five days for the pickup.
