City cost & eligibility
The city publishes no amount for furniture. A scheduled special collection carries a fee that the city says is much lower than an unscheduled collection, and the neighborhood cleanup day is the no-extra-cost route, so confirm which route you are using and what it costs with the sanitation office at 850-435-1890.
When & how
Book a special collection for the address, or put furniture out before 7 a.m. on the neighborhood cleanup day for the area and no sooner than three days before that day.
Get it ready
Keep upholstery dry and liftable, pull the pile clear of low hanging lines, poles, fences and mailboxes, and keep tires and paint cans separate from furniture on a cleanup day. Do not put furniture in the garbage container, and do not put contractor material in the pile.
Large items move by request, not by the weekly route
The weekly truck does not take furniture, appliances or repair debris, so those items need either a scheduled special collection booked through the sanitation office at 850-435-1890 or the once-a-year Mayor's Neighborhood Cleanup day for the address. The city describes the special collection as covering old furniture, household appliances and small amounts of debris from home repairs or remodeling, and it charges for that service with a lower price for the scheduled version.
Items go curbside before 7 a.m. on the scheduled day and no sooner than three days before it. Appliances, electronics, household junk, furniture, mattresses, carpeting, grills without propane tanks, bicycles, toys, tires and old paint cans are eligible; concrete, bricks, blocks, roofing, drywall, more than one cubic yard of lumber, chemicals, pesticides, explosives, ammunition, auto parts, dirt, sod, propane tanks, garbage and yard trash are not. Keep tires and paint cans separate from the rest of the pile.

Arrange it
Call 850-435-1890 or submit the city service request form, describe every item that will be at the curb, and book the pickup before the items go out.
The city will not collect concrete, bricks, dirt, sod, roofing material, shingles or hazardous waste, and material left by a contractor has to be removed by that contractor.

A city household that can wait for the cleanup day scheduled for its neighborhood during the January to October cleanup year.
Cost & conditions
No charge. No separate collection charge is published for the cleanup day, which the city runs once a year for each city neighborhood. The program is limited to material at the curb inside the scheduled cleanup area.
