Just the pieces that are leaving, ready outside.

A few pieces, one pickup

Your room has changed. The old furniture can go.

The desk you no longer use. The dresser that doesn’t fit the new layout. The chairs left over after a move. Choose the pieces you’re done with and give them a pickup day, without arranging a quote visit.

Different pieces. One clear total.

Add each furniture item and its quantity. See the combined price before you pay, with loading, transportation and disposal included.

Choose each piece

A table and four chairs are five items.

You don’t need to guess how much space your furniture fills in a truck. Match each piece to the catalog, then add its quantity. Your total updates as you go.

Tables and chairs

Choose the table, then add each chair separately. Coffee tables, side tables and dining tables have their own options. A large or substantially heavy table has a different choice.

Dressers and mirrors

Match the dresser’s overall size. Add a separate dresser mirror as its own item if it is leaving too. Empty drawers and keep the belongings you want before moving the dresser outside.

Desks and bookshelves

Choose by construction, not height alone. A basic desk is different from a heavy desk with a substantial body. A tall, lightweight bookcase can still be a standard bookshelf. Empty it first.

  1. Choose what leaves and what stays.

Count the furniture you want removed and empty drawers, shelves and cabinets. Add any other items to the booking instead of leaving an unlisted pile beside the furniture.

  2. Arrange the move outside.

You handle indoor carrying and any disassembly needed to get the furniture through your home. Plan for doorways, interior stairs and building access before pickup day.

  3. Show exactly what goes.

Use a permitted outdoor spot with a clear route to the furniture. Add a location photo and access notes. Keep the pickup items separate from furniture and belongings that are staying.

Couches, sofas and furniture

Accepted with preparation

Household furniture is the material the city's cleanup is designed for, since the notice invites residents to clear out bulky items, and the collection contract with Waste Pro covers bulk material as well. A couch therefore belongs on the published pile within the twenty cubic yard and fifty pound rules.

City cost & eligibility
No charge. Free to residential units inside the city limits on the published quadrant date, with the pile kept inside the published size and weight limits.
When & how
Set the furniture curbside or in the alley before 7 a.m. on the published date for the quadrant, or check with the collection contract for bulk material at other times.
Get it ready
Keep the piece whole where you can so two people can handle it, keep it under the fifty pound per item limit by removing loose cushions or drawers if needed, and keep construction debris and hazardous waste out of the same pile.
