A mattress is not named in the city's extraordinary waste list, which names furniture, bicycles, lawn mowers, white goods, bulk items and tires, so it has to be confirmed with the division before it is set out.
City cost & eligibility
The service fee is already part of the sanitation assessment for loads inside the two cubic yard monthly allowance, so the question is acceptance rather than price: confirm with the Solid Waste Division whether a mattress counts as extraordinary waste or bulk item, and what the excess waste fee would be if the load goes over the allowance.

Keep the mattress dry and inside the monthly volume allowance, keep it out of the garbage and yard trash streams, and keep it separate from any building material, which the city does not accept in the extraordinary waste stream.
Extraordinary waste is scheduled and measured in cubic yards
Sebring collects two cubic yards of extraordinary waste a month from each residential unit in addition to the garbage and yard trash service, and the city names furniture, bicycles, lawn mowers, white goods, bulk items and tires in that stream. The pick-up has to be scheduled in advance with the Solid Waste Division, and the service is included in the residential sanitation fee that appears on the property tax bill. Anything over the monthly volume is the property owner's responsibility unless arrangements have been made and the excess waste fee has been paid.

Cost & conditions
No charge. Included in the residential sanitation assessment, which the city sets at $235.00 per unit per year, about $19.59 a month, for up to two cubic yards of extraordinary waste each month; material over that volume needs prior arrangements and the excess waste fee paid in full.
