Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Stuart's own routes are the cart and the weekly bulk pickup, and the four foot limit is what decides whether an item leaves that way or needs a special pickup fee. When a load is larger than the bulk route allows, the city rents roll off containers inside the city limits in 10, 20, 30 and 40 yard sizes, which also covers construction, building and renovation projects. Hazardous waste never goes to the curb: Martin County takes it free from residents at the disposal center on Busch Street in Palm City, up to 100 pounds or 20 gallons, with the Haz Mobile also stopping at the city's cleanup days, and electronic waste has its own collection dumpster on Georgia Avenue that residents can use any day between dawn and dusk. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

TV removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Stuart.

How much does TV removal cost in Stuart?

A flat-screen TV under 42 inches is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Larger flat screens and tube TVs have their own prices. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Choose the type that matches your TV and review your total, including any applicable tax, before payment.

Can I get same-day TV pickup in Stuart?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates offered at checkout and have the TV outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done.

Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?

You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.

Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?

Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.

Does my old TV have to work?

Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.

Where do televisions and computers go in Stuart?

Stuart residents can use the electronic waste collection dumpster on Georgia Avenue any day of the week between dawn and dusk, or drop devices at the Martin County Hazardous Waste Disposal Center at 9155 Busch Street in Palm City, which takes televisions, phones, computers and printers free from Martin County homes.Official guidance

What does the Haz Mobile take at a cleanup day?

The Martin County Haz Mobile is stationed near the participating neighborhoods during each cleanup day, and residents can drop off household hazardous waste such as paints, oils and cleaners, along with electronic waste. It does not accept everything: old gasoline, car batteries and the other excluded items still have to be handled another way, and the county disposal center in Palm City takes the rest.Official guidance
