The landfill lists a current fifteen dollar minimum on a garbage load with $60.85 per ton, a construction and demolition rate of $59.91 per ton with a $19.77 minimum, and a certified scale fee per weigh, with October increases proposed to $16.50 minimum and $63.45 per ton if the county commission approves them.
Arrange it
Drive to 4000 Knights Trail Road in Nokomis during published hours, stop at the scale, and expect construction-related delays while the disposal complex is expanded through 2027.
Only waste generated in Sarasota County is accepted, customers need government photo identification and closed-toe shoes, and electronic identification is refused at the gate.

Residential, municipal and commercial garbage from unincorporated Sarasota County and the cities of North Port, Sarasota and Venice, along with construction and demolition debris and yard waste in its own areas.
Only waste generated in Sarasota County is accepted, customers must show government photo identification in person rather than on a phone and wear closed-toe shoes, and customers in sandals or flip-flops may not leave their vehicles in the disposal areas.
