Treadmill, walking pad or commercial model?
Household treadmill includes folding home models with a tall console. Choose Walking pad for a compact under-desk model, or Commercial treadmill for a large gym machine. All equipment opens those choices.
An exercise bike, elliptical or rower
Spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes all use Exercise bike, including Peloton and other brands. One elliptical includes its connected base, handles and pedals. Rowing machines and Pilates reformers have their own choices.
Weights, racks and benches
Add together the pounds of loose dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Free weights are priced in 10 lb units, rounding the combined weight up. For example, 25 lb uses three units. Add a stand, rack or bench separately if it is going too.

City cost & eligibility
No city or county page names an exercise machine. The city route is a two cubic yard allowance governed by authorization rather than a price, and the county charges an average transportation fee per bulky item at three convenience centers, so confirm the machine with Dalton Public Works first and with the county center if it goes that route.

Call Dalton Public Works for authorization before the collection week, or ask a county convenience center attendant about the transportation fee before hauling.
Get it ready
Break the machine down so it fits the two cubic yard allowance, take off any console or battery pack so it does not travel as hazardous or electronic waste, and keep the frame out of the recycling bin.
Since August 17, 2020, Dalton residents must have advance authorization to put rubbish or refuse out for collection, either by calling Dalton Public Works or by filing a request through SeeClickFix online or in the mobile app. The free allowance is two cubic yards, about a long-bed pickup truck bed, every two weeks, the pickup alternates between the northern and southern halves of the city, and the work has to be the homeowner's own because a private contractor must dispose of its material itself.

A single-family home or small multi-family property in Dalton with furniture, a mattress, white goods, electronics, dried paint, bicycles or similar items.

No charge. Residential premises eligible for city collection, with advance authorization from Dalton Public Works or through SeeClickFix, limited to two cubic yards every two weeks and to work the homeowner does personally.

Which option covers a Peloton, spin bike or recumbent bike?+
Choose Exercise bike for one stationary bike, including spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes. Peloton and other brands use the same stationary-bike choice. A treadmill, walking pad and outdoor bicycle are different items, so select their matching options.
How do I book free weights, a weight rack or a bench?+
