Finish clearing the space
The last few things still deserve a pickup.
You have decided what is going. Now give those bags and boxes a pickup day, with a price you can see before anyone arrives.
The move is nearly done.
Book the unwanted bags and boxes left after packing. Choose an available pickup day before you hand back the keys, and arrange to have them outside.
The clear-out can be finished.
You do not need a whole house of junk. Select the bags, boxes and larger items you actually have. Your combined price is shown online.
You want to know it is handled.
When the next collection does not fit your plans, choose a Dropcurb pickup day. Updates keep you informed, and completion photos show when the booked items are gone.
A few simple choices turn a mixed pile into a clear booking. No need to estimate how much of a truck it might fill.
Filled bags and boxes
Count each trash bag or filled household box. Books and media go by the box. Clothes, bedding and shoes go by the filled bag. Toys packed together have a Box of toys choice. Ask us about unusually heavy or oversized bags and boxes first.
Empty cardboard and containers
Empty cardboard is a different choice: choose single empty boxes or tied bundles of 10 flattened boxes. Compacted bales have their own weight-based choices and require loading-dock access. A Storage bin choice covers the empty bin itself; ask us to confirm the contents if they are going too.
Furniture and other larger items
Add the actual larger item alongside your bags and boxes, such as a sofa, chair or mattress. It has its own price and preparation. Keep construction materials and items needing special handling out of ordinary household bags.

Amwaste collects garbage and recycling weekly inside the city limits under the City contract, and the hauler runs a one bin solution for most recyclables.
City cost & eligibility
Sanitation is billed by the City through its own payment portal and the rate is published as a separate billing rates document, so confirm the current amount for the address with the Sanitation Department at 770-253-6025 rather than relying on an older figure.
When & how
Weekly collection on the address service day, which appears on the City's interactive collection map. A collection day that falls on or after a holiday is delayed one day for that week, and a collection day before the holiday is not affected.
Get it ready
Put recyclable plastic containers numbered 1 to 5, aluminum cans and cardboard in with the trash, because the one bin solution mixes them. Keep glass out because the current provider does not accept it, keep chemicals out because bleach, pesticides, solvents and corrosives do not belong in the bin, and keep rechargeable, lead acid and lithium batteries out of the garbage entirely.
The City collects brush and bulk items as a city service, and the accepted list names furniture, rolled carpet, glass doors and homeowner generated construction debris.
City cost & eligibility
The City describes brush and bulk as a city service without printing a separate amount on these pages, and the sanitation rate is published as its own billing rates document, so confirm the charge for the address with the Sanitation Department at 770-253-6025.
When & how
Collection follows the City's brush and bulk day for the address, which is shown on the same interactive map system as the garbage days, and it is a separate route from the weekly hauler.
Get it ready
Keep the pile clear of sidewalks and streets and away from storm drains, and keep the refused material out of it: commercial construction debris, blocks, bricks, concrete, dirt, tile, tires, paint and paint cans other than dry empty ones, car batteries, large car parts, railroad ties, medical waste, needles and animal carcasses.
A mattress is not named on the accepted or refused bulk list, so confirm the item with the Sanitation Department before set out.
City cost & eligibility
No published rate names a mattress, and the bulk service is described without a separate amount, so confirm the item and any charge with the Sanitation Department at 770-253-6025.
When & how
If the department confirms it, the mattress goes out on the brush and bulk day for the address.
Get it ready
Keep the mattress dry and clear of the sidewalk, street and storm drains, and confirm the item first because the City lists furniture and other accepted bulk material without naming bedding.
Appliances are accepted on the brush and bulk route, and a refrigerated appliance needs a Freon removal tag from a certified technician first.
City cost & eligibility
The City accepts appliances on the bulk service without publishing a separate amount on these pages, and it also names metal recyclers as an alternative, so confirm the route and any charge with the Sanitation Department at 770-253-6025 or with the recycler.
When & how
Out on the brush and bulk day for the address, or taken to a metal recycler such as Newnan Salvage or Gentry Auto Salvage.
Get it ready
Empty the unit, and for a refrigerator, freezer or other refrigerated appliance get the Freon removal tag issued by a certified technician before it goes to the curb or to the recycling center.
Televisions and electronics do not belong in the trash container and go to the Keep Newnan Beautiful recycling events or a retailer, with batteries and paint on their own routes.
City cost & eligibility
The City names the routes without publishing a fee for them, so confirm the accepted device, the event date and any charge with the Keep Newnan Beautiful office through the Sanitation Department at 770-253-6025.
When & how
Take the device to a Keep Newnan Beautiful electronics recycling event, or a retailer such as Best Buy or Staples, and check the City calendar for the next event date.
Get it ready
Clear personal data before a computer, phone or drive leaves the property, keep every device out of the trash container, never put a rechargeable, lead acid or lithium battery in the garbage, and handle paint through the two annual recycling events or dry it out completely before disposal.
Construction and demolition debris is accepted in the bulk service only when the homeowner generated it, while commercial construction debris and heavy material are refused.
City cost & eligibility
No separate amount is published for a project load, so confirm the accepted material and any charge with the Sanitation Department at 770-253-6025 before the load goes to the curb.
When & how
Out on the brush and bulk day for the address, and only for material the homeowner generated rather than a contractor's load.
Get it ready
Separate what the route accepts from what it refuses, because blocks, bricks, concrete, dirt and tile are not accepted, and keep paint, solvents, chemicals, needles and medical waste out of the pile entirely.
Keep the pile off the sidewalk and away from drains
Brush and bulk material goes where it does not block a sidewalk or the street, and yard debris stays away from storm drains. The City states the items should not stop the sidewalk or road from being used.
If a collection day falls on or after a holiday, that week runs one day late, and a collection day before the holiday is not affected. The hauler and the brush and bulk truck observe New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, and the City offices also close for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
A refrigerated appliance needs the Freon tag first
A refrigerator, freezer or other refrigerated appliance needs a Freon removal tag issued by a certified technician before it goes into the bulk waste pickup or to the recycling center.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.
City of Newnan Sanitation Department with Amwaste collection
Brush and bulk collection on the city route
A Newnan household with furniture, rolled carpet, a glass door, homeowner generated construction material or an appliance to put out.
Cost & conditions
The City describes brush and bulk as a city service and publishes its rates in a separate billing document, so confirm the amount and the accepted item with the Sanitation Department at 770-253-6025.
Arrange it
Follow the brush and bulk day for the address on the City map, keep the pile clear of the sidewalk, street and storm drains, and check the item against the accepted list first.
Commercial construction debris, blocks, bricks, concrete, dirt, tile, tires, paint and paint cans other than dry empty ones, car batteries, large car parts, railroad ties, medical waste, needles and animal carcasses are refused.
City of Newnan Sanitation Department with Amwaste collection
Keep Newnan Beautiful electronics and paint events
A household with televisions, computers, phones, printers, batteries or paint that must stay out of the trash container.
Cost & conditions
The City names the events as the route without publishing a fee, and the dates come from the City calendar, so confirm the accepted material, the next date and any charge with the Sanitation Department at 770-253-6025.
Arrange it
Check the City calendar for the next Keep Newnan Beautiful electronics or paint recycling event, and ask the office about a battery drop off time if the material is not going to an event.
The events run on set dates rather than as a standing drop off, and paint that is not taken to an event has to be dried or solidified with completely dry containers before it can be disposed of.
A household that would rather recycle an appliance than put it in the bulk pile.
Cost & conditions
The City names metal recyclers including Newnan Salvage and Gentry Auto Salvage and advises contacting the business, so confirm acceptance and any price directly with the recycler.
Arrange it
Call the recycler to confirm the appliance, then deliver it with the refrigerant already handled, because a refrigerated unit needs the Freon removal tag for the bulk route and the same care applies before recycling.
The recycler decides what it takes, and the City advises verifying that before the trip.
