The recycling center expressly refuses mattresses and box springs, naming metal springs as scrap metal instead, so a mattress has no published local drop-off and stays with the household hauler.
City cost & eligibility
Neither the city nor the recycling center publishes a mattress route or price, so confirm the item and the charge with the household's private hauler before the mattress leaves the house.
When & how
Call the household's hauler to arrange the collection, and do not take the mattress to the recycling center, which refuses mattresses and box springs.
Get it ready
Keep the mattress dry, keep it out of any shared collection area until the hauler confirms, and separate metal box spring frames if the household is dropping scrap metal at the center instead.
The city does not provide trash collection. Residents and businesses contract directly with a private provider from the city's approved hauler list, and the city charges no administrative or service fee of its own.
The center refuses mattresses and box springs, carpet and rugs, fabric furniture, wooden pallets, construction debris, yard waste, plastic film, styrofoam, propane and helium tanks and sharps, so those items need another route.
