The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.
Flat-screen TVs
Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.
Tube TVs
An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.
TV stands and other electronics
The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.

How do I find my collection day?+
The City publishes a sanitation schedule map and marks the designated day on each green rollout with a color coded sticker that pairs with the map. How do holidays affect collection?+
The Sanitation Division collects only residential garbage on holidays, so a holiday route is for the green rollout. Household garbage is not collected on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day and is picked up the next day, and junk items and yard waste are collected the following business day.Official guidance
Is curbside recycling still collected?+
No. The City's recycling division moved away from curbside collection to a single drop off site at 3130 Val Tech Rd, where recyclable material has to be clean, dry and empty and cardboard boxes have to be broken down. Anything not on the accepted list is treated as non recyclable and should not go in the trailers.Official guidance
What if I cannot move the container?+
The City offers a walk up service for elderly customers and for anyone whose disability prevents them from rolling the container out when no other able resident lives in the home. A letter from a medical provider on letterhead is required, a long term condition is revalidated every two years, and the paperwork goes to the Public Works office or the published fax number.Official guidance
