How to choose a company to remove a large sectional sofa

Choose a sectional-removal company based on the carrying work required: if the large sectional needs to be carried out from indoors, choose a service that includes indoor labor; if you can move it outside and make it accessible, Dropcurb can handle accepted items with loading, transportation and disposal. Before choosing, count the connected pieces and check whether it has a chaise or sleeper, then measure the route, doors and stairs so the provider knows what the job requires.

Prepare the sectional for pickup

  1. 1.Count the connected sections and identify whether the item is a two-piece sectional, three-piece sectional, sectional with chaise or sectional with sleeper. Select the matching item definition rather than assuming every sectional uses one standard category.
  2. 2.Measure the route from the sofa to the exit, including doors and stairs. Plan for suitable helpers and moving equipment, and remove manufacturer-designed detachable parts where possible. Take clear photos of the sofa and access path so a provider can understand the job before pickup.
  3. 3.Decide who will handle indoor labor. If the sofa is still inside, arrange that work yourself or choose a service that includes indoor carry-out. For Dropcurb, book whenever convenient, then have the accepted items outside and accessible before pickup.

Where Dropcurb fits

Dropcurb fits when your accepted sectional or related leftovers are already outside and accessible before pickup. It handles loading, transportation and disposal after staging, but standard pickup does not include indoor carry-out. If the sectional is still inside and you cannot move it out, use a service that includes that labor.

Check sectional pickup choices by structural piece count and mechanism before booking.

Check local couch collection options

For municipal rules and other local arrangements, see couch removal in Chicago or couch removal in Philadelphia. The collection arrangement and the work needed to get a sectional outside are separate decisions.
