Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Fishers works through one citywide contract, so a household starts by confirming its service day and then fitting everything into the bins with the lids closed. Republic Services collects solid waste and yard waste weekly and recycling every other week, and the household may hold up to three bins in any mix of trash and recycling. Anything that will not fit takes one of two paths: a bag tag bought from the City for an extra bag, or a special pickup scheduled with the hauler and paid to the hauler for a large or bulky item. Yard waste gets an extra 20 bag allowance in April and November and is otherwise limited to what fits in the bin, with branches bundled separately. Electronics, appliances, workout equipment, paint, propane, motor oil and fire extinguishers are the streams the curb never takes, and both a free City recycling day in spring and fall and the Hamilton County household hazardous waste center at 1717 Pleasant Street in Noblesville take them, with the county open four days a week plus Saturday mornings and charging only for televisions. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

TV removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Fishers.

How much does TV removal cost in Fishers?

A flat-screen TV under 42 inches is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Larger flat screens and tube TVs have their own prices. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Choose the type that matches your TV and review your total, including any applicable tax, before payment.

Can I get same-day TV pickup in Fishers?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates offered at checkout and have the TV outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done.

Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?

You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.

Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?

Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.

Does my old TV have to work?

Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.

Where do televisions and computers go?

To the free City Recycling Day in the spring or fall, which takes computers, monitors, printers, cell phones, televisions, VCRs, stereos, speakers, wiring and metals for Fishers residents. The Hamilton County center in Noblesville also takes electronics year round, with a published fee per television.Official guidance

What is refused at the City recycling day?

Wood, mattresses, foam containers and foam peanuts, glass, grease, plastic and general trash, all of which have to be taken back by the resident. The event is also limited to Fishers residents, so material from a business is not accepted even when it is otherwise eligible.Official guidance

Who collects the waste in Fishers?

The hauler on the citywide contract does the collection, while the City bills for it. All residences incorporated within the City of Fishers are part of the citywide waste collection program, billing runs through Fishers Utilities on 317-595-3140, and bin changes, missed pickups and special pickups all go through the hauler.Official guidance

How do I find my collection day?

Use the City's service day map and enter the address to confirm that collection is provided and which day it falls on, or open the printable garbage and recycling map. Trash and yard waste come weekly and recycling comes every other week, both on that same designated day.Official guidance

What if I cannot move the bins?

The City runs a special needs service for residents who are physically unable to walk the bins to the curb. Complete the form or call Fishers Utilities on 317-595-3140, and the request flags the account so the collection driver moves the bins from the top of the driveway to the truck and returns them empty.Official guidance

How can I pay the trash charge?

The trash charge is a line item on the combined monthly utility bill, payable by mail with a check, by phone with a credit card for a per transaction fee, online by credit card or e-check at the published rates, through a bank's bill pay service, or in cash at the City Services Building on Municipal Drive during weekday business hours.Official guidance

Do I have to register before the county center?

Advanced registration is encouraged but not required, and the county states that residents are not refused for failing to register. Registering shows the opening hours, the drop off location and the procedures, and the center asks that the load arrive sorted in a box or container rather than loose or bagged.Official guidance
