Stoves and water heaters without refrigerant can use heavy pickup. Refrigerators and other refrigerant appliances need a separate Mayor’s Action Center arrangement.

Get it ready
Give the City the appliance type and ask about refrigerant handling, door preparation and the approved date. Do not treat a refrigerator as ordinary cart trash.
At an eligible residential address, place no more than two approved heavy items per month at the curb beside the cart. The heavy date can differ from regular collection. Refrigerant appliances need separate City arrangements; exercise equipment needs exact-item confirmation.

Use the City’s address lookup. Current LRS districts are 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 9 and 10; DPW districts are 5, 7, 8 and 11.
A solid-waste district is different from a council district. LRS: 317-245-4444; DPW: 317-327-4000. For a shared building service, confirm the property’s arrangement with its manager before using residential curbside rules.
Refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners and dehumidifiers.
Consumer drop-off; companies must arrange service separately. No chemical, food or trash contamination, vapes, e-cigarettes, smoke detectors or household hazardous waste. Data-bearing devices are destroyed. Use the southwest corner and honk for unloading help; confirm unusual units before traveling.
$20 for requested donation per refrigerant-bearing device. Consumer cooling-device drop-off; confirm the unit, preparation and unloading before traveling. Company loads require separate arrangements.

Can you take a washing machine and dryer in one pickup?+
Yes. Add one Washing machine and one Dryer so both units are included in the price. They are separate items, even when you bought them as a set. If yours is a single combined unit or the machines still need to be unstacked, contact us before booking to confirm the scope.
Will you disconnect my appliance or carry it out?+
Dropcurb picks up appliances that are already disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange uninstallation, utility disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Use a qualified professional for gas, hardwired or plumbing connections when needed. We handle loading and haul-away from the outdoor pickup spot.
Can I book if the delivery company did not take my old appliance?+
Yes. Dropcurb pickup is separate from buying or installing a replacement, so you can book removal on its own. Select the old appliance, choose a pickup day and arrange for it to be disconnected and accessible outside. If your new delivery is still ahead, confirm the retailer’s haul-away arrangements before booking a separate pickup.
Can I leave a refrigerator with ordinary heavy trash?+
