Plan for doorways, elevators and interior stairs before pickup day. You arrange any indoor carrying. Use a permitted outdoor location and keep entrances and the walking path open.

Follow the readiness instructions in your confirmation. Add a location photo and clear access notes so your hauler can identify exactly what is going.

Set out only confirmed items after 4 p.m. the day before and by 6 a.m. on the appointment day, at your normal garbage collection location. Items must come from that household. Keep vehicles and other objects clear without blocking the sidewalk or street.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.
Louisville/Jefferson County residents: up to four large household items total per day. Business and excess loads are charged. Enter from Bland Street; trucks with trailers must arrive at least fifteen minutes before closing. Confirm unloading help; debit or credit only for charges.

Will you carry my mattress downstairs or out of my apartment?+
Dropcurb starts outside. You arrange to move the mattress out of your apartment and down interior stairs before pickup. We load it and take it away from an accessible outdoor spot. Check your building’s access rules before arranging the move outside.
Can you pick up my old mattress when my new one arrives?+
You can choose an offered pickup day around your replacement delivery. First check whether the retailer already includes old-mattress removal, and arrange who will bring it outside if needed. Dropcurb books a pickup day, not the retailer’s delivery window. Contact us before booking if access is limited to a short time.
Does a mattress need plastic wrapping?+
