When & how
Call the Sanitation Department at 318-441-6080 or 318-441-6082, or file a white goods request through Alexandria Connects, and have the unit curbside in front of the residence for the third Wednesday pickup.
Get it ready
Keep white goods in their own pile: the city leaves them curbside when they are mixed in with limbs or other debris. Give the name, address and phone number of the person making the request.
Garbage goes out in a plastic bag secured with a twist tie and only on a scheduled day, and the city can cite a set-out on an unscheduled day. Accepted bulky items, bagged leaves, limbs and white goods stay in separate piles at the curb.
