Book the unwanted bags and boxes left after packing. Choose an available pickup day before you hand back the keys, and arrange to have them outside.
You do not need a whole house of junk. Select the bags, boxes and larger items you actually have. Your combined price is shown online.
When the next collection does not fit your plans, choose a Dropcurb pickup day. Updates keep you informed, and completion photos show when the booked items are gone.

A few simple choices turn a mixed pile into a clear booking. No need to estimate how much of a truck it might fill.
Count each trash bag or filled household box. Books and media go by the box. Clothes, bedding and shoes go by the filled bag. Toys packed together have a Box of toys choice. Ask us about unusually heavy or oversized bags and boxes first.
Empty cardboard is a different choice: choose single empty boxes or tied bundles of 10 flattened boxes. Compacted bales have their own weight-based choices and require loading-dock access. A Storage bin choice covers the empty bin itself; ask us to confirm the contents if they are going too.
Add the actual larger item alongside your bags and boxes, such as a sofa, chair or mattress. It has its own price and preparation. Keep construction materials and items needing special handling out of ordinary household bags.

Bulky furniture, appliances and large household items come off the curb under the city sticker program, with one sticker for each item and a size limit on any single piece.
The handoff matters
Carts go to the curb with the lid arrows facing the street by 7 a.m. on the collection day and stay at least three feet from poles, cars, hydrants and other carts. Nothing goes out before 7 p.m. the day before, and carts have to be off the curb by 7 a.m. the day after collection. A cart set out late draws a return fee, and a cart blocked by a vehicle or left on a sidewalk may not be serviced at all.

Yes. Estimate how many trash bags the small household pile would fill, and bag or box as much as possible. Select furniture and other larger items separately. There is no extra charge just because the pile is loose. Send a photo first if the count or contents are unclear. A household Dumpster Bag choice does not accept construction debris.
Yes. Select the bags and boxes, then add each larger item using its own catalog choice. The booking shows one combined price for the selected items. Move everything to an accessible outdoor spot before pickup; indoor carrying and sorting are not included. Keep anything you want to retain apart from the booked items and identify what goes in your photos and notes.

The city charges one bulk sticker for each item it collects, and the same charge can be paid through the online bulk item form instead of buying a sticker. A mattress and box spring together take one sticker, and a sectional couch needs a sticker for every section. Televisions of any kind, hazardous waste and tires never ride the city truck, and yard waste, wood, boards and construction material are barred from the refuse carts, the recycling carts and the blue city bags. A mattress, couch, appliance or other bulky item that will not fit in the cart needs a bulk sticker before it goes out, and refuse left outside the cart has to be in a blue city bag. The North Kent Recycling & Waste Center at 2908 Ten Mile Road in Rockford and the South Kent Recycling & Waste Center at 10300 South Kent Drive in Byron Center take appliances, electronics, tires, scrap metal and compressed gas tanks, and the Grand Rapids SafeChem site at 1045 Wealthy Street SW takes electronics during its own collection window. Electronics are free for residents apart from box-style televisions, monitors and appliances holding refrigerant, mattresses and box springs are landfilled per piece, and concrete, asphalt and aggregate go to South Kent free of charge.Official guidance
