Get it ready
Remove personal data from computers, phones and tablets. Keep televisions, monitors, batteries and light bulbs out of the curbside recycling cart, and confirm older or non flat screen televisions because the donation center shows a television in both its accepted and unaccepted lists.
The recycling cart takes accepted single stream material only. Electronics, batteries, light bulbs, yard waste, wood and construction scraps and items too large for the cart are not collected there, and the city points residents to the item finder or a Project Pride coupon for those.
Confirm the destination before the load is in the truck
The city item finder lists where Holland and nearby communities take items that are not accepted at the curb, including electronics, tires, pallets and yard material. Acceptance changes as programs and business lists change, so confirm the specific item with the receiving location before you drive.

The charity lists upholstered furniture, mattresses, car seats and flammable items as items it cannot accept, and it shows a television in both the accepted and unaccepted lists, so confirm the specific television or monitor before loading it.
Scrap metal including copper, aluminum and steel, appliances, electronics and e-scrap, junk and end of life vehicles, catalytic converters, tools, wires and cords.
Not all scrap is accepted at every PADNOS location and not every material is taken at this one. Non-metallic items such as wood, dirt and concrete are listed as not accepted, closed containers need pressure handling, and a prohibited materials list is published separately. Confirm the item and whether it must be emptied before you load.
Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Saturday 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., closed Sunday and on the listed holidays.

Data erasure and certified data destruction are not included in Dropcurb removal. Back up the information you need, then follow the manufacturer’s sign-out and reset instructions before pickup. If a device cannot be erased or contains sensitive business information, arrange suitable data handling before giving it away.
