A few pieces, one pickup

Your room has changed. The old furniture can go.

The desk you no longer use. The dresser that doesn’t fit the new layout. The chairs left over after a move. Choose the pieces you’re done with and give them a pickup day, without arranging a quote visit.

Different pieces. One clear total.

Add each furniture item and its quantity. See the combined price before you pay, with loading, transportation and disposal included.

Choose each piece

A table and four chairs are five items.

You don’t need to guess how much space your furniture fills in a truck. Match each piece to the catalog, then add its quantity. Your total updates as you go.

Tables and chairs

Choose the table, then add each chair separately. Coffee tables, side tables and dining tables have their own options. A large or substantially heavy table has a different choice.

Dressers and mirrors

Match the dresser’s overall size. Add a separate dresser mirror as its own item if it is leaving too. Empty drawers and keep the belongings you want before moving the dresser outside.

Desks and bookshelves

Choose by construction, not height alone. A basic desk is different from a heavy desk with a substantial body. A tall, lightweight bookcase can still be a standard bookshelf. Empty it first.

  1. Choose what leaves and what stays.

Count the furniture you want removed and empty drawers, shelves and cabinets. Add any other items to the booking instead of leaving an unlisted pile beside the furniture.

  2. Arrange the move outside.

You handle indoor carrying and any disassembly needed to get the furniture through your home. Plan for doorways, interior stairs and building access before pickup day.

  3. Show exactly what goes.

Use a permitted outdoor spot with a clear route to the furniture. Add a location photo and access notes. Keep the pickup items separate from furniture and belongings that are staying.

Couches & upholstered furniture

Accepted with preparation

Curbside collection does not take couches or other large furniture. City residents can put them in a Project Pride load, and a donation center takes furniture that is not upholstered.

City cost & eligibility
No charge. City of Holland resident enrolled in the residential refuse and recycling program with refuse accounts paid up to date; one coupon covers a free drop-off of miscellaneous residential items under half a ton.
When & how
Request the coupon first, then deliver the load Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or on the first Saturday of the month 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. A coupon is valid for 15 days after it is issued.
Get it ready
Bring the printed coupon to the drop-off site. Keep upholstered pieces out of a donation load, because the receiving charity lists upholstered furniture as an item it cannot accept.

Keep restricted material out of the curbside cart

The recycling cart takes accepted single stream material only. Electronics, batteries, light bulbs, yard waste, wood and construction scraps and items too large for the cart are not collected there, and the city points residents to the item finder or a Project Pride coupon for those.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Holland gives residents an unusual amount of in city capacity for a small city. Metals, appliances and electronics can go to a scrap yard on Chicago Drive, a yard material site on Quincy Street takes clean brush and leaves for a published per load rate, and the city itself runs a coupon program for oversized residential loads. Tires, cooling appliances, treated wood and anything contaminated need a different destination, so identify the material and confirm the site before loading. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Furniture removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Holland.

How much does furniture removal cost in Holland?

Choose the type and size of each piece to see its price. For example, a medium dresser is $79 as the first item or $29 as an additional item. Your total starts with the highest first-item price in your selection, then uses the additional-item price for every other item. Review the complete total and any applicable tax before payment.

Can I get same-day furniture pickup in Holland?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup and choose from the dates shown at checkout. Arrange to have the furniture outside according to your confirmation. You receive a text when your hauler is on the way and photos after collection.

Will you remove furniture from inside my apartment?

Dropcurb starts outside. You arrange indoor carrying, including any interior stairs or elevator trip. We load and take away the furniture from an accessible outdoor location. Check your building’s rules and plan the route out before booking.

Can you take several different furniture items in one pickup?

Yes. Add each piece and its quantity to one booking. A dining table and four chairs are five items; a separate mirror is not included with a dresser. You can mix eligible items from different rooms and review their combined total before paying.

Do I need to take furniture apart before pickup?

You arrange any disassembly needed to move the furniture out of your home and into an accessible outdoor pickup spot. Dropcurb does not provide indoor disassembly or carrying. If you are unsure which catalog choice matches a dismantled or unusual piece, send a photo and ask before booking.

Where can I take a couch in Holland?

Curbside crews collect the cart, not the couch. A Project Pride coupon covers upholstered furniture in a residential load under half a ton, and the city item finder lists a donation center for furniture that is not upholstered.Official guidance

Who collects trash and recycling in Holland?

Holland Board of Public Works bills for and answers questions about the city's collection, and Republic Services performs the weekly refuse and every other week recycling collection under a city contract. Confirm the service level on the address before setting containers out.Official guidance
