Treadmill, walking pad or commercial model?
Household treadmill includes folding home models with a tall console. Choose Walking pad for a compact under-desk model, or Commercial treadmill for a large gym machine. All equipment opens those choices.
An exercise bike, elliptical or rower
Spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes all use Exercise bike, including Peloton and other brands. One elliptical includes its connected base, handles and pedals. Rowing machines and Pilates reformers have their own choices.
Weights, racks and benches
Add together the pounds of loose dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Free weights are priced in 10 lb units, rounding the combined weight up. For example, 25 lb uses three units. Add a stand, rack or bench separately if it is going too.

Exercise equipment is not collected curbside. A metal heavy machine fits a scrap yard load, a bulky machine fits a Project Pride load, and usable equipment may be donatable.
City cost & eligibility
The route decides the cost: a scrap yard buys metal and sets its own terms, a Project Pride coupon is free within its load limit, and a donation center accepts items it can resell.
When & how
Match the machine to a destination first, then use that location's posted hours: scrap yard weekdays and Saturday, coupon drop-off weekday and first Saturday windows, or a donation center's posted hours.
Get it ready
Reduce the machine to components only where it is safe and legal to do so, and keep upholstered or padded parts out of a load that only accepts metal.
Holland residents can request up to two coupons a year, each covering one free drop-off of miscellaneous residential items under half a ton. Ask Community & Neighborhood Services for the coupon, use it within 15 days and bring a printed copy to the drop-off site.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.
A city resident with oversized, bulky or restricted residential items and a current refuse and recycling account.
Cost & conditions
No charge. City of Holland resident enrolled in the residential refuse and recycling program with refuse accounts paid up to date; one coupon covers a free drop-off of miscellaneous residential items under half a ton.
Arrange it
Request the coupon from Community & Neighborhood Services, then bring the printed coupon to the Project Pride drop-off at Republic Services / Westshore Recycle between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday or 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. on the first Saturday of the month.
One covered load per coupon and up to two coupons a year, with the coupon expiring 15 days after issue. The program does not cover hazardous waste or chemicals, propane tanks, motor oil, paint, tires, televisions or computers, or non-residential debris, and extra-large items or loads over half a ton can take an extra fee.
Scrap metal including copper, aluminum and steel, appliances, electronics and e-scrap, junk and end of life vehicles, catalytic converters, tools, wires and cords.
Not all scrap is accepted at every PADNOS location and not every material is taken at this one. Non-metallic items such as wood, dirt and concrete are listed as not accepted, closed containers need pressure handling, and a prohibited materials list is published separately. Confirm the item and whether it must be emptied before you load.
Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Saturday 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., closed Sunday and on the listed holidays.

Which option covers a Peloton, spin bike or recumbent bike?+
Choose Exercise bike for one stationary bike, including spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes. Peloton and other brands use the same stationary-bike choice. A treadmill, walking pad and outdoor bicycle are different items, so select their matching options.
How do I book free weights, a weight rack or a bench?+
