Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.
Toilets
Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.
Bathroom vanities
Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

Small amounts of concrete, brick, rock, dirt, ceramic tile and wood are accepted as regular refuse when each container stays inside the published weight limit, while the recycling cart never takes construction or roofing debris.

No charge. Novi residential addresses under the refuse fee. Small household quantities only, with each container and its contents under 60 pounds and reduced to the published size limits.

Get it ready
Reduce the load before it goes out: wood cut to four feet and bundled with nails removed, carpet cut to four feet or less, rolled and secured under 60 pounds, pool tables broken down into pieces no longer than four feet, and hot tubs cut into four sections. Whole tires, pianos, large car parts and riding lawnmowers are not accepted.
Any household item too large for the cart is handled individually as a bulk item, and extra refuse goes out in another container no larger than 35 gallons.

When & how

Get it ready
Keep every container and its contents under 60 pounds, use the provided cart, refuse bags or watertight containers with tight lids and lifting handles no larger than 35 gallons, break cardboard down to no more than three feet by two feet, and leave three feet between each cart. Refuse that cannot be handled individually needs another route.
Trash, recycling and bulky items must be at the curb by 7 a.m. on the collection day, and carts should be back in by that evening. When an observed holiday falls on or before your collection day, service is one day behind for the rest of that week.
City ordinance keeps bins off the curb until 24 hours before the collection day, and receptacles have to be removed within 12 hours after collection. Keep containers where they do not create a nuisance for neighbors.
Bulk items ride the regular collection day instead of a booked appointment. The City asks for a courtesy call to Priority Waste at 586-228-1200 so the driver can be prepared, and missed collections are reported to Priority Waste as well.

What will Novi refuse at the curb?+
