Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

Televisions, computers and electronics

Accepted with preparation

Electronics do not go to the curb. The city's recycling rules say computers, electronics and scrap metal are not picked up at the curb but may be brought to the Recycling Center, and that yard lists computers and electronics on its accept list. So the working route for a television, monitor or computer is the Flanders yard during its published hours, not the weekly truck.

City cost & eligibility
No charge. Free to Warren residents at the Recycling Center, with proof of residency such as a driver's licence; no curbside collection for electronics is published, so the drop-off yard is the route.
When & how
Load the devices and take them to the Recycling Center during its published hours, or set them out only if a city employee has told you the item is part of the curbside oversized list.
Get it ready
Wipe personal data from computers and phones, keep cables with the device they belong to, and keep electronics out of the recycling bin and off the curb, where they are not collected.

The handoff matters

Right item.
Right place.

Out by 6 a.m. or after 6 p.m. the night before

Refuse and compost go to the grass at the curb by 6 a.m. or no earlier than 6 p.m. the evening before the scheduled collection, and until then the carts and bags stay at the side of the house or in the rear yard. The carts have to be three feet apart with the lids closed and nothing protruding from the top, and a compost pile is placed five feet from the rest of the garbage. When a holiday falls in the week, collection runs a day late for the rest of that week.

What the Recycling Center requires of you

The yard is for bona fide Warren residents only, with proof of residency such as a driver's licence, and it expects a personal vehicle: commercial type vehicles and panel vans are turned away and contractors are not eligible to use the facility for any material. Yard personnel judge every questionable load, so what is accepted can vary from visit to visit, and there is no assistance to unload, because it is the resident's responsibility to place material into the proper containers.

City of Warren Sanitation Division

Take the load to the Recycling Center on Flanders

A household with furniture, an appliance, a computer or television, scrap metal, motor oil, antifreeze or a small amount of building material to drop off.

Cost & conditions
No charge. Free to bona fide Warren residents with proof of residency, arriving in a personal vehicle; contractors are not eligible and commercial vehicles and panel vans are turned away.
Arrange it
Drive the load to the yard on Flanders between Schoenherr and Groesbeck during its published hours, Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon, and unload it yourself.

Yard personnel judge every questionable load, the yard refuses tree stumps, hazardous waste, shingles and large amounts of building material, tires are not on the accept list, and the address and weekday start time differ between the city page and the 2026 recycling handout, so confirm the house number before a first trip.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Warren's own drop-off yard is the Recycling Center on Flanders between Schoenherr and Groesbeck, open Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon, with Saturday hours subject to change. It is free to residents, but the gate rules matter: bring proof of residency such as a driver's licence, arrive in a personal vehicle because commercial type vehicles and panel vans are turned away, and unload the material yourself because no assistance is available. The yard takes furniture, household refuse, appliances, computers and electronics, scrap metal including copper, brass and aluminium, auto batteries, motor oil and antifreeze up to five gallons, cooking oil, paper and cardboard, compost material and limited amounts of building and construction material, and yard personnel judge anything questionable. It refuses tree stumps, hazardous waste, shingles, tires and large amounts of building material, and it is not a licensed dump, so a resident with any of that has to use the private vendors the city lists: two licensed disposal sites in Detroit and Lenox Township, Macomb County Environmental for hazardous waste, propane tank vendors, refrigerant recovery services, concrete, rock, dirt, clay and sod haulers, metal recyclers and stump removal contractors. For hazardous material there is a better route than a vendor, because Macomb County sponsors free monthly household hazardous waste drop-offs by appointment on 586-466-7923, and the city brochure also describes a Warren drop-off day at the Recycling Center on the Saturday after Labor Day. When the yard is in stock, wood chips, firewood and compost are free there, self serve and limited to three cans. City drop-off yard for oversized items, electronics, metal and yard material

Warren Recycling Center

25801 Flanders, Warren, MI (the city sanitation page prints 25801 Flanders between Schoenherr and Groesbeck, while the 2026 recycling handout prints 25601 Flanders for the same yard, so confirm the house number before a first trip)

Furniture, household refuse, appliances, computers and electronics, electrical wire, scrap metal, copper, brass and aluminium, auto batteries, motor oil and antifreeze up to a five gallon limit, cooking oil, newspapers, mixed paper, phone books, magazines, cardboard, compost material and limited amounts of building and construction material

Warren residents only with proof of residency such as a driver's licence, personal vehicle only because commercial type vehicles and panel vans are turned away, contractors are not eligible for any material, yard personnel judge every questionable load, tree stumps, hazardous waste, shingles, tires and large amounts of building material are refused, and the resident unloads without assistance. Mattresses are not on the yard's accept list.

Monday to Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. to noon according to the sanitation page, with Saturday hours subject to change; the 2026 recycling handout prints a weekday start of 8 a.m. instead. Free wood chips, firewood and compost are available when in stock, self serve with a three can limit.

No charge. Free drop-off for bona fide Warren residents with proof of residency in a personal vehicle; no fee is published for the yard, and the only published charge nearby is the extra cart price at the Sanitation Department.

Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

TV removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Warren.

How much does TV removal cost in Warren?

A flat-screen TV under 42 inches is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Larger flat screens and tube TVs have their own prices. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Choose the type that matches your TV and review your total, including any applicable tax, before payment.

Can I get same-day TV pickup in Warren?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates offered at checkout and have the TV outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done.

Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?

You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.

Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?

Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.

Does my old TV have to work?

Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.

Where do old televisions and computers go in Warren?

To the Recycling Center on Flanders, which lists computers and electronics among the materials it accepts from residents, because the city does not pick electronics up at the curb for recycling. Bring proof of residency, drive a personal vehicle, and be ready to unload it yourself.Official guidance

The city does, through its Sanitation Division. Refuse goes out in the blue lidded 95 gallon cart or in plastic bags for weekly curbside collection, compost runs in the brown lidded cart from April 1 to December 1 and year round at the Recycling Center, and the division also runs the drop-off yard on Flanders. The sanitation office is on 586-775-1400.Official guidance

Does a holiday delay collection in Warren?

Yes. When a holiday falls during the week, the collection schedule runs one day late and normal service resumes the following week. The city lists New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day as the observed holidays.Official guidance

When is the Warren Recycling Center open?

Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon, with the Saturday hours subject to change. The yard is for Warren residents with proof of residency driving a personal vehicle, contractors are not eligible, and the resident unloads the material.Official guidance
