Treadmill, walking pad or commercial model?
Household treadmill includes folding home models with a tall console. Choose Walking pad for a compact under-desk model, or Commercial treadmill for a large gym machine. All equipment opens those choices.
An exercise bike, elliptical or rower
Spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes all use Exercise bike, including Peloton and other brands. One elliptical includes its connected base, handles and pedals. Rowing machines and Pilates reformers have their own choices.
Weights, racks and benches
Add together the pounds of loose dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Free weights are priced in 10 lb units, rounding the combined weight up. For example, 25 lb uses three units. Add a stand, rack or bench separately if it is going too.

$10 per piece of exercise equipment such as a treadmill or elliptical at the Dakota Valley Recycling summer drop-off event. Residents of Apple Valley, Burnsville, Eagan and Lakeville only, at the annual event at the Burnsville public works yard on its published date. The county Recycling Zone refuses exercise equipment.
When & how

Get it ready
Take the machine down as far as it comes apart so it can be unloaded quickly, and keep the loose weights with the frame. Batteries come out of anything electronic, and the load should sit together in the vehicle so it can be unloaded in one pass.
The county Recycling Zone in Eagan takes household chemicals, electronics, small household electronics, scrap metal and tires year round, free except for the charge on televisions, monitors and tires. The shared department's summer drop-off event adds appliances, mattresses, exercise equipment, power equipment and paper shredding for a fee on its published date. Neither one takes furniture, and the county site refuses appliances, mattresses, exercise equipment, wood and yard waste.
At the county site, stay in the vehicle, keep everything except sharps in the trunk or the very back so staff can unload it, label containers and stand them upright in a box you can leave behind, and flatten cardboard to no more than three feet by three feet. At the summer event, remove batteries from electronics, drain fluids from power equipment, and group like material together in the vehicle.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.

A household in Apple Valley, Burnsville, Eagan or Lakeville with an appliance, a mattress or box spring, exercise equipment, a screen, other electronics, power equipment, scrap metal or confidential documents.
Cost & conditions
The event charges by the piece rather than a single gate fee: one price for each appliance with water softeners priced separately, one price each for power equipment and for exercise equipment, a price by the load for scrap metal, a size based price for a television or monitor, a per piece price for bedding, and a set price for other residential electronics, while laptops, computer towers, phones, tablets and media players are free and shredding is free within a per vehicle limit. All payment forms are accepted. Confirm the current schedule and the next event date with the shared department before holding the load.
Arrange it
Wait for the published event date, load similar material together with all fluids drained and all batteries removed, bring the load to the Burnsville public works yard on 13713 Frontier Ct, and unload it with staff while staying with the vehicle.
The event runs once a year on one published date, is limited to residents of the four member cities, and refuses hazardous waste, batteries, furniture including futons, air mattresses, construction and demolition material, and tires.

Choose Exercise bike for one stationary bike, including spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes. Peloton and other brands use the same stationary-bike choice. A treadmill, walking pad and outdoor bicycle are different items, so select their matching options.
How do I book free weights, a weight rack or a bench?+
