Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

Text us about your setup
  1. Arrange any unmounting first.

Dropcurb does not remove TVs from walls or do indoor carrying. Arrange the help you need before pickup day, including the trip down interior stairs or through an elevator.

  2. Choose a permitted outdoor spot.

Use a stable, accessible location with a clear path for loading. Keep the TV separate from anything staying. Check building rules before placing it in a shared pickup area.

  3. Show us the TV that is going.

Add a location photo and access notes after booking. Follow the readiness instructions in your confirmation. For exposed broken glass or unusual damage, send a photo and check with us before booking.

Televisions and household electronics

Special rules apply

Televisions, computers, printers, gaming consoles and other named electronics can use the eligible bulky-item route or an appropriate electronics drop-off.

City cost & eligibility
Eligible city collection is tied to a paid garbage account and annual allowance. The Environmental Center has separate no-charge residential eligibility.
When & how
For city collection, use the regular collection day and keep the device outside the carts. For recycling, use the Environmental Center during current public hours.
Get it ready
Never put electronics or batteries inside a garbage or recycling cart. Remove loose batteries, protect personal data and keep the device intact for drop-off.

The handoff matters

Right item.
Right place.

Use the normal collection location

Place an eligible bulky item outside by 6 a.m. on the regular collection day, next to but not leaning on the garbage cart. Label it bulky and remove food, liquids, gas and batteries. A different curb or alley location requires advance scheduling.

For your Dropcurb pickup

Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.

City of Saint Paul Public Works

Use the current city bulky-item route

Eligible one-to-four-unit homes and opted-in properties with furniture, appliances, electronics or exercise equipment on the current accepted list.

Cost & conditions
The yearly allowance is included in an existing paid garbage account. Confirm account eligibility, the remaining count and any excess-item price.
Arrange it
Use the normal collection location by 6 a.m. on collection day. Contact the city first only for a different collection location or an unusual item.

The allowance is per garbage cart. Mattresses use their separate program, construction debris is excluded, and buildings outside coordinated service need another arrangement.

Review city bulky-item rules

Through your building

Start with management at a larger building

Residents of buildings with five or more units that have not opted into coordinated city garbage service.

Cost & conditions
The property manager or private hauler sets eligibility, arrangements and price.
Arrange it
Ask the property owner or manager whether the building has opted into city service or uses a private hauler for large items.

Do not place an item out under the one-to-four-unit city rules without confirming the building's account. Mattress recycling has a separate all-residential program.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Construction debris is outside Saint Paul's bulky-item program. For self-haul, call a listed transfer station with the exact materials and load size before leaving home. Household electronics have a separate resident drop-off at the Ramsey County Environmental Center, while eligible mattresses use scheduled collection rather than general self-haul. TV removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in St. Paul.

How much does TV removal cost in St. Paul?

A flat-screen TV under 42 inches is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Larger flat screens and tube TVs have their own prices. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Choose the type that matches your TV and review your total, including any applicable tax, before payment.

Can I get same-day TV pickup in St. Paul?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates offered at checkout and have the TV outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done.

Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?

You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.

Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?

Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.

Does my old TV have to work?

Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.
