When & how
Bring electronics to the public disposal area during open hours. The City also runs RecycleFest, a free drop-off event for items such as cell phones, rechargeable batteries and bicycles.

Take electronics to the household waste side of the park and keep them out of the hazardous waste lane, where electronic scrap is not accepted.
Everything for the public disposal area, the yard waste area and the household hazardous waste lane is at 2011 SE Hamblen Road. The gate runs Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., it is closed Sunday and on the operator's published holidays, and the hazardous waste lane keeps its own schedule.
Household hazardous waste is free for Lee's Summit residents Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. with no appointment, and by appointment on the first Saturday of the month from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. A valid ID showing your current city of residence is required, and businesses, churches and not-for-profit organizations are turned away at the gate.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.

The City does not set hauler rates. Monthly rates vary from hauler to hauler, and curbside yard waste and recycling collection carry additional fees.
Arrange it
Choose any hauler licensed with the City from the Public Works list and set up service directly, or check whether curbside recycling is included on request.
Every hauler doing business in the City must be licensed, and the City does not provide a municipal curbside collection of its own, so service terms come from the hauler you hire.
