City of Kansas City — no-charge appointment-based Bulky Item Collection Program for large household items. Schedule online via Bulky Scheduler at kcmo.gov or call 311 / (816) 513-1313. Regular trash pickup weekly by district. Spring Leaf & Brush collection by area (Central KC: March 23-27, 2026). Unlimited trash bags allowed on first pickup after July 4th and Christmas.

St. Louis Refuse Division provides free monthly bulk pickup divided into 4 regions — Region 1 on the 1st Monday, Region 2 on the 2nd Monday, Region 3 on the 3rd Monday, Region 4 on the 4th Monday. Lee's Summit does not run a universal city-operated free bulk curbside program. Residents must use their private hauler's bulky-item rules/schedules or self-haul to the Resource Recovery Park and Jackson County drop-off facilities.
