Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

  2. Choose a permitted outdoor spot.

Use a stable, accessible location with a clear path for loading. Keep the TV separate from anything staying. Check building rules before placing it in a shared pickup area.

Televisions, computers and electronics

Accepted with preparation

Electronics have a named drop-off and no curbside route. The Bellevue customer guide sends electronic items to Cross Electronics Recycling, and the trash cart refuses anything the trucks cannot landfill, with appliances and electronics both listed as material that has to leave the household another way.

City cost & eligibility
The city and the hauler publish no rate for Cross Electronics Recycling because it is a private recycler setting its own terms. Confirm the accepted devices, the hours and any charge with the business, or ask Papillion Sanitation on 402-346-7800.
When & how
Take the devices to Cross Electronics Recycling at 5030 N 72nd, and keep them out of the blue landfill cart and the green recycling cart while you wait for the trip.
Get it ready
Wipe personal data from computers, phones and drives, keep cables and remotes with the device they belong to, and never put electronics, batteries or cords into either curbside cart.

The handoff matters

Right item.
Right place.

Carts out by 7 a.m., lids closed

Carts go to the curb the night before or by 7 a.m. on the service day, four feet away from poles and mailboxes, two feet apart from each other, with the lids completely closed. The automated trucks can only lift what fits inside the cart, so anything left beside the cart is not collected unless it is a booked bulky pickup or a bag of yard waste during the season. Disabled customers can request walk-up service with a form from the hauler.

What the carts will never take

The blue landfill cart refuses paint, solvents, motor oil, appliances, antifreeze, car batteries and tires because they cannot be landfilled, and the same list applies to anything you might otherwise pile beside the cart. Those items leave through the named drop-offs instead: appliances and electronics to Cross Electronics Recycling, chemicals, paint and fluorescent lights to Under the Sink, and self hauled loads and tires to the Sarpy County Transfer Station after a call to confirm hours and pricing.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Bellevue has no city drop-off yard of its own for household items, so self haul works through the businesses and county sites the hauler's Bellevue guide names. Appliances go to Cross Electronics Recycling at 5030 N 72nd or Scrap Central at 2728 N 85th St, electronics go to Cross Electronics, and household and garden chemicals, paint and fluorescent lights go to Under the Sink at 4001 S 120th St, with no published rates or hours for any of them. Glass can be dropped at the District 3 Fire Station at 9400 S 36th St or taken to RiverCity Recycling in Omaha, styrofoam goes to Plastilite, and plastic grocery bags go back to store drop-offs. Green material has two free city options: the Bellevue Tree Dump opens the last Saturday of every month from 8 a.m. to noon just north of 8902 Cedar Island Road for tree debris, and Bellevue residents can drop yard waste free at the City of Omaha Compost Processing Facility on South 60th Street after picking up a scale card at the office, with no plastic bags, trash, food waste, stumps or branches over two inches. For an oversize or mixed load, the guide points to the Sarpy County Transfer Station at 14414 S 156th St and asks residents to call 402-253-2371 for hours and pricing, which is also the practical contact for construction debris and tires, since neither is named on any Bellevue page. Electronics and appliance recycler named by the city guide

Cross Electronics Recycling

5030 N 72nd (the hauler's Bellevue guide prints this street address with no city or ZIP)

Appliances and electronics, according to the Bellevue guide's list of where to take material that does not go in the green recycling cart

A private recycler rather than a city or county site, so acceptance, fees and hours are set by the business. The guide publishes no rate, no hours and no ZIP code, so confirm all three before travelling.

Not published in the Bellevue guide; call the business or Papillion Sanitation on 402-346-7800 to confirm before a trip

No fee is published because the recycler is a private business. Confirm the current accepted devices, the hours and any charge before loading an appliance or a television.

Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

TV removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Bellevue.

How much does TV removal cost in Bellevue?

A flat-screen TV under 42 inches is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Larger flat screens and tube TVs have their own prices. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Choose the type that matches your TV and review your total, including any applicable tax, before payment.

Can I get same-day TV pickup in Bellevue?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates offered at checkout and have the TV outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done.

Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?

You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.

Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?

Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.

Does my old TV have to work?

Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.

Where can I take a TV or computer in Bellevue?

To Cross Electronics Recycling at 5030 N 72nd, which is the drop-off the hauler's Bellevue guide names for electronics. There is no curbside electronics collection, so confirm the current devices, hours and any charge with the business before the trip.Official guidance

Who collects trash in Bellevue?

Papillion Sanitation and Recycling Services does, under the city contract for single-family and duplex homes inside the city limits, with the bill appearing on the household's MUD account. Bellevue Public Works answers programme questions on 402-293-3135 and the hauler's customer line is 402-346-7800.Official guidance

Which carts does Bellevue issue and how is the bill set?

Three carts: a blue one for landfill trash, a green one for recycling and a brown one for yard waste. They come in 35, 65 and 95 gallon sizes, the bill is based only on the size of the landfill trash cart, and the recycling and yard waste carts are included in that price. Additional carts cost a monthly fee and personal cans are not allowed.Official guidance

Does a holiday delay collection in Bellevue?

Only when the holiday falls on or before your pickup day during the week, in which case the service slips by one day. Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day are the six dates the city lists, and weekend holidays leave the schedule untouched. Weather delays are posted by the hauler.Official guidance
