When & how

The drop-off route works during center hours, Tuesday through Thursday from 7:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Get it ready
Empty the unit and remove food, water and loose parts before it leaves the property. Keep the appliance out of the recycling bin and away from the regular trash pile, and tell the attendant or the booking line what the unit is, because the fee depends on whether it is a laundry appliance, a range, or a refrigerator or other Freon unit that needs CFC removal.
Residential curbside after 7 p.m., bulky between the evening and 6 a.m.
Residential properties put trash and recycling at the curb after 7:00 p.m. the night before the collection day. Downtown businesses work to a different clock, because the ordinance allows material out no more than two hours before pickup and the department typically starts around 4:00 p.m. Bulky items follow the booking rule instead, going out between 7:00 p.m. the day before the scheduled pickup and 6:00 a.m. on the day itself, always separate from the regular trash.
The curbside bulky weeks are set by material rather than by address. Arrange it
