No charge. Furniture is collected as a bulk item on the regular trash day at no separate charge, and good condition pieces may be donated to the Habitat for Humanity ReStore the township names.
When & how
Put furniture at the curb the night before the regular collection day or by 7 a.m., with no appointment, or bring good condition pieces to the ReStore during its open hours.
Get it ready
Keep furniture loose at the curb rather than in a bag or box, and remove doors or drawers only if that makes the piece safer to lift. Carpet and padding go out separately, cut into four foot lengths and tied into bundles under fifty pounds.
Furniture and bulk items such as mattresses, couches, dressers, cabinets, toilets and wooden bed frames are placed at the curb the night before the regular collection day or by 7 a.m. and do not need an appointment, because a separate truck collects them by about 6 p.m. that day. A missed bulk pickup is reported to public works the following morning.
Wood and lumber are tied and bundled under fifty pounds and four feet with nails, spikes and screws removed or bent over, railroad ties and thicker lumber are cut to two feet and stacked neatly, carpet and padding are cut into four foot lengths and tied into bundles under fifty pounds, and glass pieces under four feet by four feet are taped and secured with larger pieces broken down into the green tote.

Dropcurb starts outside. Arrange for the sofa to be moved through the apartment and down interior stairs before pickup. We load and haul it away from an accessible outdoor spot. Arrange any dismantling needed to get it outside beforehand.
Do I need to wait at home for couch pickup?+
You do not need to be home when your booked sofa is outside and accessible. Add photos and pickup-location notes to your order so the right pieces are easy to identify. We send updates and completion photos. Confirm any building access restrictions with us before booking.
