Everyday trash goes in the green tote and recyclables in the blue tote, both out the evening before the collection day, and the same weekly service takes the furniture. A mattress, a couch, a dresser, a toilet or a wooden bed frame is set at the curb on the regular trash day as a bulk item, with no appointment and no separate fee, and a second truck collects it by the end of the day. Appliances and metal are the exception: refrigerators, stoves, washers, dryers, grills and water tanks are scheduled for the Wednesday metal pickup by calling public works before Tuesday afternoon. $50 for the published one time fee per additional trash or recycling tote. Cherry Hill Township residents with a township collection account. The fee is payable by check or money order only, made out to Cherry Hill Township, and the application has to include the tote type and size, the normally scheduled collection day, the address and a contact phone number.
Arrange it
Complete the tote application, mail it with the payment to the township address on the form or bring it to the public works yard, and allow the posted processing time before the new tote is delivered.
The fee buys the container, not extra collection capacity beyond it, and township containers stay with the property. Some non automated collection routes do not use the standard 95 or 64 gallon totes, so the application has to match the address.
