Treadmill, walking pad or commercial model?
Household treadmill includes folding home models with a tall console. Choose Walking pad for a compact under-desk model, or Commercial treadmill for a large gym machine. All equipment opens those choices.
An exercise bike, elliptical or rower
Spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes all use Exercise bike, including Peloton and other brands. One elliptical includes its connected base, handles and pedals. Rowing machines and Pilates reformers have their own choices.
Weights, racks and benches
Add together the pounds of loose dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Free weights are priced in 10 lb units, rounding the combined weight up. For example, 25 lb uses three units. Add a stand, rack or bench separately if it is going too.

No published list names an exercise machine and no separate rate covers one, so call public works at (856) 424-4422 and ask whether the machine is treated as a bulk item on the trash day or as a scheduled metal pickup.
When & how
Confirm the machine first, then set it out on the regular trash day as bulk or on the scheduled Wednesday metal pickup as directed.
Get it ready
Take the loose weights and the console off, fold or break the frame down where it comes apart, and keep the metal frame separate so it can be handled as a metal item if that is the route public works confirms.
Furniture and bulk items such as mattresses, couches, dressers, cabinets, toilets and wooden bed frames are placed at the curb the night before the regular collection day or by 7 a.m. and do not need an appointment, because a separate truck collects them by about 6 p.m. that day. A missed bulk pickup is reported to public works the following morning.
Appliances and metal items are collected each Wednesday by appointment, covering refrigerators, grills, stoves, washers, dryers and water tanks. Call public works by 3 p.m. on Tuesday to schedule the pickup, remove the doors from refrigerators, stoves, freezers and dishwashers, and have the item at the curb by 7 a.m. Wednesday.
