Get it ready
Nothing may be placed at the kerb before the special pick-up confirmation number is received, because material put out early is not collected and its disposal becomes the homeowner's responsibility. Keep the piece liftable, and keep construction material, paint, tires and textiles out of the same pile because they are refused.
Edison garbage collection follows the municipal collection areas, and residents in private collection areas deal with their own hauler. Only the supplied containers are acceptable, and a cardboard, paper or plywood drum used as a container is itself classified as garbage and taken away. Branches, unwrapped bedding, pallets, construction material, uninspected hot water heaters, recyclables, paint, tires, glass over 50 pounds and textiles are refused.
