Treadmill, walking pad or commercial model?
Household treadmill includes folding home models with a tall console. Choose Walking pad for a compact under-desk model, or Commercial treadmill for a large gym machine. All equipment opens those choices.
An exercise bike, elliptical or rower
Spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes all use Exercise bike, including Peloton and other brands. One elliptical includes its connected base, handles and pedals. Rowing machines and Pilates reformers have their own choices.
Weights, racks and benches
Add together the pounds of loose dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Free weights are priced in 10 lb units, rounding the combined weight up. For example, 25 lb uses three units. Add a stand, rack or bench separately if it is going too.

City cost & eligibility
The city's bulk list names mattresses, home furniture and box springs rather than exercise equipment, and no county programme names it either. Confirm the machine with Public Works, or with the trash hauler Cali Carting at 201-991-5400, before it is set out.
When & how
Call before the regular garbage day, because the two-item bulk allowance is limited to the items the city names and a machine may not be accepted at all.
Get it ready
Describe the size, weight and any motor or electronic console when calling, and take loose weights and accessories off the frame so the piece can be handled. Keep the machine out of the garbage and recycling containers, and keep any battery out of the carts.

A city household with a couch, a mattress, a box spring or another large household item that will not fit in the garbage container.
Cost & conditions
No charge. City of Passaic household on the municipal garbage route. The city publishes no separate fee for the two-item bulk pickup, which runs on the regular garbage schedule.

Set up to two bulky items at the curb on your regular garbage day. No appointment is published for the bulk allowance, and collection questions go to Cali Carting at 201-991-5400 or to Public Works at 973-365-5654.
Two items per pickup, on the regular garbage day only, and cloth furniture including mattresses and box springs will not be collected unless it is wrapped fully in plastic. Appliances, televisions and small electronics are not part of this route, and construction debris is refused outright.

Which option covers a Peloton, spin bike or recumbent bike?+
Choose Exercise bike for one stationary bike, including spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes. Peloton and other brands use the same stationary-bike choice. A treadmill, walking pad and outdoor bicycle are different items, so select their matching options.
How do I book free weights, a weight rack or a bench?+
Enter the combined weight in pounds for your dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Booking rounds that total up to the next 10 lb unit: 25 lb uses three units. Stands, racks and benches are separate items and do not include the loose weights. Add each one that is going.
