Treadmill, walking pad or commercial model?
Household treadmill includes folding home models with a tall console. Choose Walking pad for a compact under-desk model, or Commercial treadmill for a large gym machine. All equipment opens those choices.
An exercise bike, elliptical or rower
Spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes all use Exercise bike, including Peloton and other brands. One elliptical includes its connected base, handles and pedals. Rowing machines and Pilates reformers have their own choices.
Weights, racks and benches
Add together the pounds of loose dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Free weights are priced in 10 lb units, rounding the combined weight up. For example, 25 lb uses three units. Add a stand, rack or bench separately if it is going too.

Exercise equipment is not named by the hauler's bulky list or by the county rate table, so a treadmill or a weight machine is confirmed with WM before it is set out, either as a bulk pickup or as a load at the county scale.
City cost & eligibility
No published rate covers an exercise machine. WM prices a bulk pickup by the item and the volume and gives an estimate when the pickup is booked, and the county landfill charges a bed level, above bed level or per ton rate depending on the load, so ask WM on 505-892-1200 and the county on 505-867-0814 which route fits the machine.
When & how
Confirm the machine and the route first, then book it on a WM bulk pickup or take the load to the county landfill during its open hours.
Get it ready
Describe the machine, its size and its weight when the pickup or the load is arranged, and keep it out of the trash cart. A machine that is mostly metal can be described that way to the hauler, and a load taken to the county scale still has to be tarped.
The Sandoval County Landfill on Iris Road is open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., a load larger than a standard pickup has to be in the gate before 3:30 p.m., and payment is cash or a business check only. Every load has to be tarped or a no tarp fee is added, and the household hazardous waste collection at that site is suspended.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.
A household with a couch, a mattress, an appliance or another heavy item that will not fit in the cart and that it would rather not haul itself.

WM publishes no flat rate because pricing and available options vary by area and depend on what and how much is being collected. The agent gives an estimate before the pickup is scheduled, so confirm the price for the exact items before booking.

Acceptance varies by area and the pickup covers bulk and heavy household items rather than a whole property cleanout. Construction waste, auto parts, tires, hazardous waste and electronic or medical waste are refused in the regular service, and hazardous waste has a separate collection route.

Any customer delivering to the county scale, with payment by cash or a business check only. Tires are limited to four passenger tires per trip, recycling items are free, clean fill is free, and a no tarp fee is added to an untarped residential or commercial load.

Tarp the load, drive to 2708 Iris Rd NE on a weekday or Saturday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. with any load larger than a standard pickup in the gate before 3:30 p.m., and check in at the scale.
Household hazardous waste is not accepted while the county collection is suspended, and biomedical waste, sharps, ammunition, flares, fireworks, propane tanks, burn barrels or ashes, commercial and industrial hazardous items, metal frame demolition with concrete, concrete larger than three feet and vehicle bodies or trailers are all refused.

Choose Exercise bike for one stationary bike, including spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes. Peloton and other brands use the same stationary-bike choice. A treadmill, walking pad and outdoor bicycle are different items, so select their matching options.
How do I book free weights, a weight rack or a bench?+
