Choose by the type of equipment. A brand name does not mean a different item, but a walking pad and a full treadmill do.
Treadmill, walking pad or commercial model?
Household treadmill includes folding home models with a tall console. Choose Walking pad for a compact under-desk model, or Commercial treadmill for a large gym machine. All equipment opens those choices.
An exercise bike, elliptical or rower
Spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes all use Exercise bike, including Peloton and other brands. One elliptical includes its connected base, handles and pedals. Rowing machines and Pilates reformers have their own choices.
Weights, racks and benches
Add together the pounds of loose dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Free weights are priced in 10 lb units, rounding the combined weight up. For example, 25 lb uses three units. Add a stand, rack or bench separately if it is going too.

A machine can be too heavy or awkward for a solo move. Arrange suitable help for indoor carrying, stairs or any dismantling needed to reach the outdoor pickup spot.
A pickup day is not an exact arrival window. Tell us before booking about a shared loading area, restricted outdoor access or equipment whose size or setup you are unsure how to select.

Book a day you can be ready.
Choose from the available pickup dates before moving the machine out. Follow the readiness instructions in your confirmation. Book by 2pm at the pickup address for same-day pickup.

Place the booked equipment in an accessible outdoor spot. Keep any separated parts together, add a photo and clear location notes to your order, and leave the approach clear.

Exercise equipment is not named on the city brochure or the hauler page, so a treadmill or weight machine is confirmed with the hauler before it goes to the curb inside the bulky allowance.
City cost & eligibility
Bulky material inside the three cubic yard allowance is free, but nothing names exercise equipment. Call Rumpke at 1-800-828-8171 at least 48 hours before the collection, describe the machine and confirm that it belongs in the curbside load.
When & how
Confirm the item first, then give the 48 hour notice and set the machine out with the containers on the regular collection day.
Get it ready
Break the machine down as far as it comes apart, remove loose weights and the console, and keep the frame dry and liftable. Leave it out of the street and away from the containers so the automated arm has clear access.
Out after 6 p.m. the night before, in by 6 p.m. the day after
Nothing goes to the curb before 6 p.m. on the day before the scheduled pickup, and containers come back in no later than 6 p.m. the day after. Containers stay out of the street, sit at least three feet apart, and face the house with the wheels toward it.
Up to three cubic yards of material may be placed at the curb with the city containers at no extra charge, and anything beyond that amount is removed and charged to the resident. Extra material can be bagged or placed in another can while the city container is already full, and all household refuse has to be bagged inside the container.
Mattresses, furniture and other bulky pieces need the hauler told by phone or through its online service form at least 48 hours before the regular collection. The hauler also takes six cans or bags of ordinary trash a week, each weighing no more than 50 pounds.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.

Use the weekly curbside collection
A Lima household with a mattress, couch, appliance or other bulky piece that fits inside three cubic yards and can be scheduled with the hauler.
Cost & conditions
No charge. Three cubic yards of material may go to the curb with the city containers at no extra charge as part of the refuse utility, and material beyond that amount is removed and charged to the resident. No monthly refuse rate is published on the city brochure or the hauler page.

Auto parts, paint, oil, free flowing liquids, rocks and dirt, and tires are refused at the curb, household refuse has to be bagged inside the city container, and a load past three cubic yards is billed to the resident.

Dropcurb pickup starts outside. Arrange indoor carrying, stairs and any dismantling needed to get your equipment out before pickup. Check the moving instructions for your exact model and arrange suitable help. We load and haul away the equipment from an accessible outdoor spot.
Which option covers a Peloton, spin bike or recumbent bike?+
Choose Exercise bike for one stationary bike, including spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes. Peloton and other brands use the same stationary-bike choice. A treadmill, walking pad and outdoor bicycle are different items, so select their matching options.
How do I book free weights, a weight rack or a bench?+
Enter the combined weight in pounds for your dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Booking rounds that total up to the next 10 lb unit: 25 lb uses three units. Stands, racks and benches are separate items and do not include the loose weights. Add each one that is going.
Will Rumpke take a treadmill at the curb?+
Ask when you give notice.
