Treadmill, walking pad or commercial model?
Household treadmill includes folding home models with a tall console. Choose Walking pad for a compact under-desk model, or Commercial treadmill for a large gym machine. All equipment opens those choices.
An exercise bike, elliptical or rower
Spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes all use Exercise bike, including Peloton and other brands. One elliptical includes its connected base, handles and pedals. Rowing machines and Pilates reformers have their own choices.
Weights, racks and benches
Add together the pounds of loose dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Free weights are priced in 10 lb units, rounding the combined weight up. For example, 25 lb uses three units. Add a stand, rack or bench separately if it is going too.

Get it ready
Break the machine down where it can be, remove the battery and keep it out of the trash, tie down any loose deck or handle, and keep the frame within the 40 pound item limit if it goes to the curb.
Since January 5, 2026 residents can place up to five bulk items at the curb each week with the regularly scheduled trash pickup, each item must weigh under 40 pounds, and the weekly allowance replaced the monthly scheduled bulk pickup, so there is no call to Republic Services and no alley or side street pickup.
Loose trash has to be bagged, branches, wood and rugs have to be tied in a bundle no larger than 3 feet by 4 feet, nails and screws in wood items have to be removed or pounded flat, and mattresses have to be bagged or wrapped before they go to the curb.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.

Arrange it
Place up to five items under 40 pounds each at the curb next to the bins on the normal trash collection day, with mattresses bagged or wrapped and branches, wood or rugs tied in a bundle no larger than 3 feet by 4 feet.
There is no alley or side street pickup, loose debris and anything over 40 pounds are refused, tires, hazardous waste, gas, paint, liquids, medical waste, major car parts and commercial construction material are refused, and anything left that cannot be collected may draw a fine.

Which option covers a Peloton, spin bike or recumbent bike?+
Choose Exercise bike for one stationary bike, including spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes. Peloton and other brands use the same stationary-bike choice. A treadmill, walking pad and outdoor bicycle are different items, so select their matching options.
How do I book free weights, a weight rack or a bench?+
