Get it ready
Fold or dismantle the machine if the maker allows it and keep the parts together as one item, then place it on the easement instead of in the street.
Rubbish is placed on the easement in front of the address no earlier than 6 p.m. the night before the regular pickup day. Carts never go in the street, and street parking is not allowed on the collection day.
Rubbish must be bagged before it is placed in the cart, and the lid is kept closed so the truck arm can pick the container up and empty it. Improper placement can bring a violation and a possible fine.
When a legal holiday falls in the collection week, the rest of that week's schedule moves back one day. A holiday that lands on a weekend does not change the schedule.
Compost goes in a rubbish can with a free compost sticker or in a paper yard waste bag and is kept separate from household rubbish. Plastic bags are never accepted, and branches that do not fit a can are tied in 4-foot lengths under 50 pounds.
