Treadmill, walking pad or commercial model?
Household treadmill includes folding home models with a tall console. Choose Walking pad for a compact under-desk model, or Commercial treadmill for a large gym machine. All equipment opens those choices.
An exercise bike, elliptical or rower
Spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes all use Exercise bike, including Peloton and other brands. One elliptical includes its connected base, handles and pedals. Rowing machines and Pilates reformers have their own choices.
Weights, racks and benches
Add together the pounds of loose dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Free weights are priced in 10 lb units, rounding the combined weight up. For example, 25 lb uses three units. Add a stand, rack or bench separately if it is going too.

A treadmill, exercise bike or weight machine counts as a large household item, so it goes out with the regular curbside collection in the same way as furniture. A garage or room sized clean-out is past the weekly allowance.

Get it ready
Break the machine down to what can be lifted safely, keep it neat at the curb in the right of way between the sidewalk and the street, and keep it out of the street and off the sidewalk. Do not put small parts in the recycling cart.
Out after 6 p.m. the night before and before 7 a.m. on pickup day
Trash, recycling, yard waste and bulky items go to the curb no earlier than 6 p.m. the evening before your service day and no later than 7 a.m. on the day itself. The hauler states plainly that all material has to be at the curb by 7 a.m.
In the right of way between the sidewalk and the street
Place bins and bulky items at the curb in the right of way between the sidewalk and the street, with containers separated from each other. Containers do not belong in the driveway, on the sidewalk or in the street, and the city asks that nothing extends over a sidewalk or the roadway.
Large household items are collected in reasonable quantities, but the city asks for a dumpster when a house clean-out, or the debris and furniture, runs past one room's worth. A move-out is the same calculation, so size the load before you set it out.
New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day are observed. When one falls on or before your service day, pickup runs one day later than normal, and a holiday on a weekend causes no delay.

Arrange it

Tires, concrete, fencing, contractor generated materials, liquid paints and chemicals, car parts, freon appliances, fluorescent bulbs, batteries and propane tanks are refused at the curb. Clean-outs past one room's worth need a dumpster, and containers are limited to 32 gallons and 60 pounds with bags under 40 pounds.
