Get it ready
Place the piece neatly at the curb in the right of way between the sidewalk and the street. Keep it out of the street, off the sidewalk and away from the driveway, and empty drawers or cushions so the piece is light enough to lift.

Trash, recycling, yard waste and bulky items go to the curb no earlier than 6 p.m. the evening before your service day and no later than 7 a.m. on the day itself. The hauler states plainly that all material has to be at the curb by 7 a.m.
In the right of way between the sidewalk and the street
Place bins and bulky items at the curb in the right of way between the sidewalk and the street, with containers separated from each other. Containers do not belong in the driveway, on the sidewalk or in the street, and the city asks that nothing extends over a sidewalk or the roadway.
City issued carts are voluntary. If you use your own container for garbage or yard waste, the maximum is 32 gallons and 60 pounds, and bags should not weigh more than 40 pounds. Trash in a recycling cart is not serviced, and the carts are not interchangeable.
Large household items are collected in reasonable quantities, but the city asks for a dumpster when a house clean-out, or the debris and furniture, runs past one room's worth. A move-out is the same calculation, so size the load before you set it out.
New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day are observed. When one falls on or before your service day, pickup runs one day later than normal, and a holiday on a weekend causes no delay.
