Treadmill, walking pad or commercial model?
Household treadmill includes folding home models with a tall console. Choose Walking pad for a compact under-desk model, or Commercial treadmill for a large gym machine. All equipment opens those choices.
An exercise bike, elliptical or rower
Spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes all use Exercise bike, including Peloton and other brands. One elliptical includes its connected base, handles and pedals. Rowing machines and Pilates reformers have their own choices.
Weights, racks and benches
Add together the pounds of loose dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Free weights are priced in 10 lb units, rounding the combined weight up. For example, 25 lb uses three units. Add a stand, rack or bench separately if it is going too.

The city's own cart guide tells a household to put furniture and heavy appliances out next to the trash cart, which is how bulky household items leave a Youngstown property. There is no separate bulky appointment published, so the items ride the collection next to the cart.
City cost & eligibility
No charge. Collected with the city service, with no separate charge published for furniture or a heavy appliance placed beside the cart. The only money the city publishes in this program is the $500.00 minimum service charge under Section 979.05 for abating a waste set over 20 cubic yards, which applies to an excessive accumulation rather than to an ordinary heavy item.
When & how
Put the heavy item next to the cart on the night before the regular collection day, and keep the cart itself clear of the item so the automated arm can reach the container.
Get it ready
Keep the item out of the cart, because loose trash and the other barred materials are what the cart refuses, and leave enough clearance around the cart. Construction debris is expressly excluded from the ordinance definition of waste the city collects, so it is not part of this route and has to be handled separately.
