Flat-screen TVs
Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.
Tube TVs
An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.
TV stands and other electronics
The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

Electronics do not go in the cart and are refused on the bulky route, so the city sends them to the Metropolitan Environmental Trust center on North Elm Place. Most small electronics are free there, and televisions and CRT or LCD monitors are accepted for a fee that has to be prepaid as a credit online.

The trust takes the listed small electronics at no charge and recycles televisions and CRT or LCD monitors for a small fee that the city does not publish, because the credit has to be bought at metrecycle.com before the drop off. Buy the credit and confirm the current amount before loading a television or monitor.
When & how
Buy a credit at metrecycle.com if the load includes a television or a monitor, then take the electronics to the Metropolitan Environmental Trust center at 302 N. Elm Place during the center's own opening hours.
Get it ready
Wipe the personal information off phones, computers and smart televisions before anything changes hands, keep remotes, cables and power cords with the devices, and sort the load before arriving because the trust asks visitors to sort their recyclables.
The black refuse cart and the blue recycling cart go to the curb by 6 a.m. on the service day, which runs Monday through Thursday by area of the city. Trash has to be bagged and tied inside the cart, recycling goes loose, clean and dry, the cart is limited to 336 pounds, and a cart that is too heavy or has items sticking out may be left unserviced.
Hazardous waste of any type is refused, including oil, liquid paint, batteries, tires, gun ammunition or powder, fuel and propane tanks, so those items go to the Tulsa household pollutant facility with a voucher or to the M.e.t. center. Roofing and remodeling wood, fencing, bags of dirt, rocks or concrete, needles outside a proper container, televisions, monitors, microwaves and tires are also barred from the carts and, for the electronics and tires, from the bulky pickup as well.
