Treadmill, walking pad or commercial model?
Household treadmill includes folding home models with a tall console. Choose Walking pad for a compact under-desk model, or Commercial treadmill for a large gym machine. All equipment opens those choices.
An exercise bike, elliptical or rower
Spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes all use Exercise bike, including Peloton and other brands. One elliptical includes its connected base, handles and pedals. Rowing machines and Pilates reformers have their own choices.
Weights, racks and benches
Add together the pounds of loose dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Free weights are priced in 10 lb units, rounding the combined weight up. For example, 25 lb uses three units. Add a stand, rack or bench separately if it is going too.

No charge. Monthly bulky collection is included for one and two family dwellings with active utility accounts, and up to four cubic yards is collected at no additional fee. Get it ready
Use the city polycart for household trash and keep it within two feet of the curb with the lid hinge facing away from the road, bagged and tied inside, closed, and five feet clear of obstructions. Hot ashes, hazardous liquids, chemicals and batteries never go in the cart, and a premium collection charge follows waste set out at the wrong time or in the wrong form.
Exercise machines are not named on the City's collectable bulky list, so whether a treadmill or weight machine rides the monthly set-out has to be confirmed.

When & how
Call 580-581-3428 Monday through Friday before the bulky week, then set the machine out by 7 a.m. on that Monday if it is accepted.
Get it ready
Reduce the machine where the manufacturer allows it and keep the parts together as one set-out inside the four cubic yard allowance. Remove any battery and keep it out of the cart, because batteries are not collected in the trash or as bulky waste and instead go to the landfill or the annual Trash Off event.
Bulky waste is collected once a month, starting on the Monday of the set-out week for the area and continuing until the area is finished. Items go out by 7 a.m. that Monday, nothing goes out more than 72 hours earlier, and crews may take up to three days to complete the route.
The monthly bulky allowance is four cubic yards, which the City describes as roughly four clothes dryers, two couches or three queen sized mattresses. Waste above the allowance is still collected but an additional charge is placed on the utility bill.

Waste set out at the wrong time, loose or scattered, too close to an obstacle, under power lines, on the wrong week or in an excessive amount draws a premium collection or abatement charge on the utility bill along with a door hanger or cart tag explaining the problem.
The division does not collect or process hazardous material, hazardous chemicals, oil based paint or solvents, or automobiles and parts, and it points residents to federal EPA guidance rather than a local program. The annual Trash Off drop-off is the published local route: on Saturday May 2, 2026 it took paint, batteries, tires without rims, scrap metal, appliances, fire extinguishers and documents for shredding at the McMahon Memorial Auditorium parking lot.
