The M.e.t. lists free drop-off for cameras, computer batteries, towers, copiers, fax machines, keyboards, laptops, microwaves, phones, printers, cords, small appliances, UPS systems and VCR and DVD players, with monitors and televisions accepted for a fee that is paid online and is not printed on the page. Confirm the current fee before you load.
When & how
Use one of the M.e.t. centres at Broken Arrow, Central Tulsa, Claremore, Downtown Tulsa, Glenpool or Sand Springs. The M.e.t. does not list Owasso among the e-waste centres, so do not assume the Owasso affiliate takes electronics.
Get it ready
Wipe personal data before a computer leaves the house, keep cords and remotes with the device, and keep air conditioners, large appliances, items over 50 pounds, light bulbs, vape devices and refrigerators out of the load because the M.e.t. refuses them.

Air conditioners, large appliances, anything over 50 pounds, light bulbs, vape devices and refrigerators are refused, and the M.e.t. does not list Owasso among the centres that take e-waste.
Owasso's self-haul route is the city's own Recycling Center and Disposal Station at 499 South Main. The Recycle Center takes cardboard, paper, plastics, glass and metal around the clock at no charge, and the Disposal Station next door takes trash, bulk items, white goods, mattresses, furniture, appliances, carpet rolls and latex paint with a published price for each item and each load, during counter hours and not on designated holidays. Electronics go to one of the M.e.t. centres outside Owasso, with monitors and televisions carrying an online fee, and household pollutants need a voucher from the M.e.t. before they can be taken to the City of Tulsa facility. The city also holds a free landfill day once a year for residents inside the city limits, with tires, hazardous material, liquids and Freon appliances excluded.
