Carts and bins go to the curb by 6 a.m. on the collection day with the lids closed, three feet from cars, trees, mailboxes and other carts, six feet from basketball hoops, and clear of sidewalks, bike paths and driveways.
A bulky waste pickup is scheduled with the collection company that serves the address, the cost is a flat pickup fee plus a charge for each item, and the bulky collection day can fall on a different day than the normal garbage and recycling collection.
Extra garbage goes in a plastic bag beside the bin, extra recycling in a brown paper bag, a small flattened cardboard box or a reusable container, and extra yard debris in a Kraft bag with twigs up to four feet long bundled in fiber twine. Plastic bags, wires, cords and cables, electronic devices, medical waste, non-empty aerosol containers and other hazardous items, food and liquids stay out of the recycling bin, and household batteries other than alkaline go in a taped zip seal bag placed in the glass bin.

General public 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, commercial customers on a different schedule, the hazardous waste facility Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and closed Sunday, and the whole site closed on the Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's days.
Mattresses and box springs are free up to four a day, electronics are free under Oregon E-Cycles up to seven items a day, and metal appliances are free, while a coolant appliance is charged a published per appliance amount with a limit of five a day, tires are charged for the first tire and less for each additional one up to fifteen a day, garbage pays a published minimum for loads up to 240 pounds plus a per ton rate above that, clean wood and clean yard debris pay lower published rates, an uncovered load pays more per ton, and a transaction fee applies to each load, so confirm the current amounts before loading.
