Get it ready
Wipe personal data from anything that stores it, keep electronics out of the garbage cart and the recycling bin, and count your items because the seven item limit applies per day per person. Televisions, monitors, computers, printers, keyboards and mice are the qualifying devices.
Keep hazardous products out of the bin and the load
Aerosol sprays, art and hobby chemicals, automotive fluids, batteries, fire extinguishers, cleaners, mercury products, paints, stains, solvents, thinners, pesticides, pool and spa chemicals, propane tanks, sharps and unwanted medicines do not belong in the garbage or a bulky pile. Metro takes household hazardous waste free at the Oregon City facility, up to 35 gallons by container size, with a different set of hours from the transfer station.
