City cost & eligibility
The city sets Estacada's own rates. For the areas the county serves, its bulky waste schedule prices appliances and furniture with a minimum 5 dollar fee and a maximum of 40 dollars, plus a fee based on weight and special handling, and it adds a 30 dollar coolant removal fee for items with refrigerant even when the refrigerant has been removed, but that schedule does not set the Estacada rate. When & how
Call the franchised company for a quote and arrange the pickup time, or take the piece to the Clackamas County Transfer Station in Sandy or the Metro South transfer station in Oregon City.
Get it ready
Keep the piece out of the recycling cart, keep it clear of the street and sidewalk, and keep loads of liquids, asbestos containing material, burned material and roofing out of any transfer station load.
Clackamas County sets the fees and service standards for franchised companies only in unincorporated areas and for the cities of Happy Valley and Barlow, and it tells residents of other cities to contact the city for their garbage and recycling fees, so the Estacada rates come from the city rather than the county schedule.

The county states that large appliances, furniture and other items can be picked up by the garbage and recycling company even if you are not a regular customer, and that residents should call their franchised company for a quote and arrange a pickup time.

Metro refuses vehicles with drive motors, asbestos containing material, burned material and wildfire ash, flat or built up roofing, loads of liquids, petroleum contaminated soil, radioactive metals and electric vehicle batteries, and customers are responsible for anything they leave behind.
Garbage that cannot be reused or recycled, including home garbage, broken furniture and clean and engineered wood, plus recycling and other debris for transport to landfills and recyclers.
Metro cannot accept vehicles or any vehicle with a drive motor, asbestos containing material, burned material or wildfire ash, flat or built up roofing, loads of liquids, petroleum contaminated soil, radioactive metals or electric vehicle batteries. Customers are responsible for items they leave behind and may be fined or charged asbestos testing and removal costs. Payment is accepted by cash, card, debit, mobile wallet or check with a processing fee on credit cards.
